APSU Governors Tennis finishes fall season at Louisville Invitational

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team concludes the fall portion of its schedule with the Louisville Invitational this weekend at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

The Govs have participated in three tournaments this semester, and have grown as a squad.

APSU Lady Govs Soccer ends season with 2-1 loss to Murray State Racers

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUMurray, KY – The 2015 season came to an end for Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team, Thursday, falling 2-1 to Murray State at Cutchin Field.

The Lady Govs (8-10-0, 4-6-0 OVC) needed at least one point to have a chance at making the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.

Austin Peay State University Govs, Lady Govs ready for OVC Cross Country Championships

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsMurray, KY – Austin Peay State University men’s and women’s cross country teams have been training hard for two weeks to prepare for Saturday’s Ohio Valley Conference Cross Country Championships at Miller Memorial Golf Course.

The women will compete at 9:00am, followed by the men’s race at 10:00am.

The Govs and Lady Govs are determined to achieve greater success this year after each placed ninth in last year’s championship.

Clarksville Montgomery County area TDOT Maintenance Work starting October 31st, 2015

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that on Saturday October 31st, from 8:00am-6:00pm, there will be lane closures on SR 237 (Rossview Road) in order to shift traffic to the newly constructed roadway and bridges.

This is part of the bridge replacement project over Interstate 24 (Exit 8) on State Route 237.

Clarksville Police arrest Hastings Robbery Suspect, Nicholas Hull

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Wednesday, October 28th, 2015, the Hastings located at 1600 Fort Campbell Boulevard was robbed between 10:50am and 11:00am. Clarksville Police put out a request for public help to identify the robbery suspect.

Yesterday, October 28th, 2015, the suspect was identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Jeffery Hull from Clarksville. Detective Kevin A Shaw secured a warrant on Hull for the Robbery at Hastings.

Shelby Olszewski named APSU Athlete of the Week

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Senior Shelby Olszewski, of the Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

In two must-win games for Austin Peay last week, Olszewski provided the deciding goal in victories against Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville, keeping the Lady Govs in the hunt for an OVC Tournament berth.

In the Friday night contest against Eastern Illinois, Olszewski scored the opening goal on a rebound from a Nicole Wojcik shot and later assisted on Sophia Fabbro’s 89th-minute goal in the Lady Govs 3-0 win against the Panthers.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Rossview Road Water Outage

 

Thursday, October 29th, 2015

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on a section of Rossview Road between International Boulevard and Rollow Lane, Rollow Lane and Holland Drive to repair a water main. Low water pressure may affect area residents.

The work is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 12:00pm.

The road is open to traffic.

Learn more about our Adaptive Swim Lessons, become familiar with the pool and meet our instructors. Swimmers will have the opportunity to get in the water, access the Wibits, and enjoy crafts and refreshments.
