The “Father and Son” feature found its subject, Emmett Sexton, in an unlikely place — a jail, where his uniform said his job brought him but his heart said he belonged. Born in Kentucky in 1949 to a pastor father and raised between Kentucky and Ohio, Sexton had moved to Clarksville in 1970 for college and stayed to spend his life serving and guiding others toward becoming what each of us deserves to be.
