The March 2023 Clarksville Living Magazine puts The Peach Cobbler Factory on its cover, introduces the nonprofit whose name is its mission, and helps gardeners beat a black thumb.

The mouth-watering cover belonged to The Peach Cobbler Factory, one of Clarksville's newest businesses, profiled by Paige Eisemann in “Just Peachy” — a shop whose range runs well past its namesake to banana pudding, cherry swirl, bourbon pecan and coconut cobblers, cinnamon rolls and ice cream. The companion piece, “Splat That!,” kept the playful tone with contained, paint-splattering fun for kids and families.

“YaiPak: You Are Important” unpacked a nonprofit whose name spells out its purpose — You Are Important, People Administering Kindness — started by Sherry Nicholson in 2016 to meet people who are neglected, hurting or afflicted right where they are. With planting season near, “Know Your Zone Before You Grow” walked readers through the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map so local gardeners could match what they plant to Middle Tennessee's climate. A Giving Back feature explained how shoppers could route a share of everyday spending to local causes.

The recurring departments round out a March number that moves from the cover's cobbler to a working local ministry to a practical primer for a first spring garden — the range that keeps the magazine both useful and warm.

The publisher's note walked readers through the issue's spread. Beyond Paige Eisemann's cover story on The Peach Cobbler Factory, it flagged “Splat That!,” a look at contained, paint-splattering messiness for kids; a Giving Back feature on the nonprofit YaiPak; a guide to routing everyday spending to local causes through Amazon Smile; and “Know Your Zone Before You Grow,” a primer for overcoming a self-diagnosed black thumb before planting season — capped, as ever, by a calendar packed with things to do in and around town.
