Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Close games have been the calling cards when the Nashville Sounds and Oklahoma City Dodgers get together and Friday night was no different as the Oklahoma City Dodgers edged the Nashville Sounds 5-4 in 10 innings. 9,868 fans watched the drama unfold at First Tennessee Park. The last eight games between the Sounds and Dodgers have been decided by one run.

After the Dodgers posted three runs in the eighth inning, the Sounds used a three-run rally of their own in the ninth inning to push the game to extras.

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Oklahoma City Dodgers spoiled the Independence Day celebration with a come-from-behind 6-5 win over the Nashville Sounds in front of a sellout crowd of 11,764 fans Monday night.

The largest gathering in First Tennessee Park history saw the Dodgers plate a pair of runs with two outs in the top of the ninth after a costly Nashville error.

With two outs in the ninth, and the Sounds (40-43) leading 5-4, Drew Maggi hit a bouncer to third that Yairo Muñoz fielded and fired to first base. Sounds first baseman Jermaine Curtis dropped the ball and the game went on.

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Oklahoma City Dodgers scored multiple runs in the first three innings and raced to a 12-6 win over the Nashville Sounds in front of a sellout crowd of 11,080 at First Tennessee Park Friday night.

Oklahoma City hitters racked up five multi-hit games, including a four-hit night from former Sound Max Muncy and a three-hit games from Alex Verdugo. The one-two combo at the top of the lineup combined to score six runs and drive in four.

Verdugo and Muncy each had three hits in the first three innings, and Muncy added his fourth of the game in as many innings.

Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – The struggles continued for the Nashville Sounds in a 3-1 loss to the Oklahoma City Dodgers Sunday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The loss sent the Sounds to their first four-game sweep in nearly a year.

In what became a theme over the four-game set, the pitching kept Nashville (36-39) in the game but the hitting scuffled as the Sounds left 10 runners on base and went 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position.

Starter Corey Walter allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings, but Oklahoma City’s Justin Masterson limited Nashville to one run in 5 2/3 innings.

Lights Go Out on Nashville Sounds and Oklahoma City Dodgers, Game Suspended

Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – With no outs and a runner on first base in the top of the eighth inning for the Sounds a bank of lights at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark went out causing the series finale between the Sounds and the Oklahoma City Dodgers to be suspended. The game will be completed the next time the Sounds visit Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark June 22nd-25th.

On a gusty, damp Friday evening the Sounds offense hit another dry spell. Nashville lit up the scoreboard just once through 7+ innings against the Oklahoma City Dodgers.

Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – The Nashville Sounds used a balanced offensive attack and a solid performance from starter Zach Neal on the way to a series-opening 5-3 win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers Tuesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Nashville (4-8) busted out of an offensive funk and put up nine hits and drew four walks to give Neal some overdue run support. The right-hander responded with 5 2/3 innings of two-run ball to pick up his first win of the season. Neal limited Oklahoma City (7-6) to six hits, didn’t walk a batter, and struck out five.

Nashville Sounds fall late to Oklahoma City Dodgers in front of Sellout Crowd

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Oklahoma City Dodgers spoiled the first sellout of the 2017 season at First Tennessee Park with a 3-2 win over the Nashville Sounds in front of 10,717 fans Friday night.

With the score even at 1-1 in the eighth inning, Oklahoma City’s Alex Verdugo lifted a fly ball in the direction of Nashville’s Matt McBride. The ball glanced off the left fielder’s glove and allowed two runners to score on the E-7.

Bobby Wahl limited the damage to the two unearned runs, but it was enough for the Dodgers. Matt Olson launched a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth but the comeback fell short.

Sounds avoid back-to-back shutout losses with run in eighth inning

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds’ bats remained silent for the second consecutive night as they were defeated 8-1 by the Oklahoma City Dodgers. The Sounds lit up the scoreboard in the eighth inning to snap a streak of 16 consecutive innings without scoring a run.

Justin Masterson (1-0, 2.25) was masterful on the mound for the Dodgers (4-4).  The Sounds (3-5) had no answer for the 32-year-old who gave up just two hits in five innings of work and fanned five batters on just 69 pitches.

The Dodgers opened the scoring in the second inning off Zach Neal (0-1, 4.15) when third baseman, Rob Segedin, led off the inning with a base hit and came around to score on a Brett Eibner sacrifice fly to left field.

Four-Run First Inning Paces Oklahoma City

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds managed just five hits in a 5-0 loss to the Oklahoma City Dodgers in front of 6,815 fans Wednesday night at First Tennessee Park.

Oklahoma City (3-4) used a four-run first inning against Nashville (3-4) starter Daniel Gossett to take control of the game. Leadoff hitter Chris Taylor walked to start the contest and quickly moved to third on Willie Calhoun’s base hit to right field.

Gossett struck out O’Koyea Dickson, but a fielding error by right fielder Andrew Lambo allowed Taylor to score, and another batter to reach. Alex Verdugo knocked in a run with a double, and former Sound Brett Eibner collected an RBI with a base hit.
