Nashville Predators fall to the Dallas Stars 4-1

Nashville PredatorsNashville, Tn — The Nashville Predators fell to the Dallas Stars tonight at Bridgestone Arena in an all too familiar fashion.  Lack of scoring and goal tending.  If this is any indication of what the upcoming Winter Classic will be like, then Nashville has a lot of work to do before the New Year’s day event.

Once again, the Predators outshot their opponent, only to fall short in scoring goals.  Nashville fired 38 shots on goal to just 22 for the Stars.  Pekka Rinne continues to struggle in net, giving up all four goals tonight.

Nashville Predators lose to the Dallas Stars 2-1, season over

Nashville PredatorsDallas, TX – The Nashville Predators lost to the Dallas Stars tonight to end their season, 2-1.  The pivotal game six was a must win situation for Nashville to force a game seven in the Music City on Wednesday night.

It was not to be.  Nashville lost the last three games in a row to end the season on a thud.  Dallas now advances to play the St. Louis Blues.

The Predators got off to a good start, scoring the first goal of the game at  5:47 of the opening period when Austin Watson found a rebound in front of the Dallas net to give Nashville the early 1-0 lead.

Nashville Predators fall at home to the Dallas Stars 3-1

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators fell to the Dallas Stars tonight, 3-1, unable to pull off back-to-back wins, after last night’s victory against the Florida Panthers.

On a night that honored former Predator Jordin Tootoo, the Predators were unable to crack the Dallas defense, specifically the goaltending of their back up goalie, Anton Khudobin.

The first goal of the night was scored by Calle Jarnkrok at 9:35 of the first period, who ripped a shot from the circle past Khudobin for the early 1-0 lead.  It would be the only score of the night for Nashville.

Nashville Predators fall to Colorado Avalanche 5-3

Nashville PredatorsDenver, CO – The Nashville Predators dug themselves into a deep hole early in this game and were unable to recover as the Colorado Avalanche cut the series lead down to 2-1 with a 5-3 victory tonight at the Pepsi Center.

Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne was pulled in the second period after the Avs scored four goals on fifteen shots to take a commanding lead. Juuse Saros finished the game and held the Avs to one goal.

Colorado jumped all over the Predators from the start and combined with the slow start the Predators have been notorious for, it didn’t bode well for the Preds.

Nashville Predators take game one with win over Colorado Avalanche 5-2

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators overcame a sluggish first period against the Colorado Avalanche, but kicked in the afterburners midway through the second period to defeat the Avs, 5-2 at Bridgestone Arena.

In game one of their opening round Stanley Cup series, Nashville knew that Colorado was fast and talented, but as all teams try to do against Nashville, a quick start and a quick strike is what they aim for.

But Nashville has Filip Forsberg.
