Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 11/13 Tennessee (9-0) plays host to #2/4 Texas (7-0) at 2:00pm CT on Sunday in Thompson-Boling Arena, continuing one of the nation’s top rivalries in women’s college basketball.

These programs have met at least once (sometimes twice) every season since 1982. Holly Warlick and Karen Aston coach two of 14 Division I women’s teams that remain unbeaten in 2017-18 (as of Friday).

The Lady Vols remain undefeated after dismantling a Troy team that entered with a 4-1 record by an eye-popping score of 131-69 on Wednesday night in Knoxville.

Tennessee Lady Vols face Appalachian State Mountaineers at Thompson-Boling Area

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee will open a five-game homestand as they take on Appalachian State at Thompson-Boling Arena for a 6:00pm CT tip on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s game will be available online through WatchESPN. Visit WatchESPN.com or download the WatchESPN app to view the game on a computer or mobile device. Bob Kesling (PxP), #LVFL Brittany Jackson (Analyst) and Maddy Glab (Reporter) will describe the action on Wednesday evening.

Tennessee Lady Vols rally falls short in 72-67 loss at Texas

UT Lady VolsAustin, TX – Tennessee made a valiant rally after trailing by 15, but fell 72-67 against #17 Texas on Sunday afternoon at the Erwin Center.

Tennessee (4-4) trailed by 15 in the second quarter, but made a run to end the period and over the first five minutes of the third quarter to take the lead. Texas was able to retake the lead, and withstood late three pointers from Alexa Middleton and Diamond DeShields to hold on to the win.

Jaime Nared tallied a career high 22 points to go with five rebounds and two blocks. DeShields chipped in 16 points to score in double figures for the seventh time in eight games this year.

Tennessee Lady Vols hit the road Sunday to face #17 Texas

UT Lady Vols Basketball’s late rally comes up short in 64-53 loss to Texas

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Diamond DeShields scored a season-high 24 points and No. 4/5 Tennessee surged in the fourth quarter to pull within four points, but the late rally was not enough as the Lady Vols fell to No. 8/8 Texas, 64-53, on Sunday at Thompson-Boling Arena.

DeShields was 9-of-22 from the field and made big shot after big shot to keep the Lady Vols (5-1) in the game. She grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds to record the second double-double of her career. Her 24 points were her most as a Lady Vol and her most since recording her only other double-double, a 24-point, 12-rebound effort against Michigan State on March 25th, 2014, when she played for North Carolina.
