Clarksville Police invite Residents to Complete Online Survey

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are inviting citizens to take part in a survey about the safety of the community and the department’s overall performance.

The survey can be completed online here. The survey period will begin Tuesday, September 15th to Saturday, October 31st.

“We are asking citizens to take a few minutes to complete our survey about crime and policing in the City of Clarksville,” Clarksville Police Chief David Crockarell said.

Clarksville Police Department earns CALEA Reaccreditation

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department has earned its fourth consecutive seal of approval from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, a leading credentialing body dedicated to developing and maintaining law enforcement standards.

CALEA accreditation is a rigorous process designed to strengthen accountability, both within the agency and the community, by meeting high standards that clearly define police authority, performance and responsibilities.

Clarksville Police Department receives CALEA Accreditation

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Chief Al Ansley has received confirmation that the Clarksville Police Department has been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA).

According to CALEA, the award is in recognition of CPD’s “commitment to professional excellence in policy and practice” and represents CPD’s “acceptance of an ongoing obligation” to continue to meet the highest standards in law enforcement.

Clarksville Police Department to undergo on-site reaccreditation assessment starting March 21st

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – In a continuing quest for law enforcement excellence, the Clarksville Police Department is scheduled for an on-site reaccreditation assessment during the week of March 21st, 2016, to verify that the department meets the state-of –the-art professional standards.

The assessment is part of a voluntary program administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). The accreditation program requires agencies to comply in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.

Clarksville Police Department receives Reaccreditation for the first time ever

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On August 3rd, 2013 in Columbus,  Ohio,  Chief Al Ansley went before a group of CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) Commissioners for a hearing to determine whether the Clarksville Police Department would be awarded Reaccreditation.

After the hearing, Committee  recommended to the full commission that the Clarksville Police Department receive Advanced Accreditation.  Chief Ansley accepted the award that evening.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation seeks re-accreditation

 

tbiNashville – Final preparations are underway for the on-site assessment of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation by representatives of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA).

CALEA accreditation means that an agency has met the highest law enforcement standards. This extremely high quality of assessment assures fairness within the TBI and throughout the entire State of Tennessee. The accredited status has also helped the TBI in their recruitment of highly trained agents and overall credibility throughout the state.
