Montgomery County announces Black History Celebration rescheduled to February 27th

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Black History Celebration planned in collaboration with Montgomery County Government, the City of Clarksville, Austin Peay State University, Clarksville Housing Authority, and the Clarksville Hispanic American Family Foundation has been rescheduled from February 20th to Saturday, February 27th due to weather.

The event will take place in Veterans Plaza, located at 350 Pageant Lane from noon to 3:00pm.

Austin Peay State University ready to welcome Freshmen to Campus

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) officials will welcome more than 1,000 freshmen to campus residence halls this week, and most the new students will arrive from 8:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday, August 22nd, 2019.

Freshman Move-in Day also launches the University’s freshman orientation weekend, which we like to call APEX, short for Austin Peay Experience.

New leader sets sights on community development role

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Patricia Tyus, the new Executive Director of the Clarksville Housing, has quickly begun work on her goal of establishing a broader community development role for the local housing agency.

Since starting the job on October 4th, Tyus has been using her extensive management experience to evaluate and better position the Clarksville Housing Authority for a big menu of affordable housing programs and community development initiatives.

Clarksville Police Department Teamed Up with Housing Authority to Deliver School Supplies

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department teamed up with the Clarksville Housing Authority to deliver 437 (255 Elementary, 182 High School) school supply bags loaded with back to school goodies.

Members of the Clarksville Housing Authority and Clarksville Police Department visited 232 residences in Lincoln Homes, Summit Heights, Edmondson Ferry, Caldwell Lane, and Maddox Circle to make deliveries. generously donated by several local area individuals/businesses.
