Copeland hit .500 (6-for-12) with three multi-hit games serving to push his batting average up to a team-high .345. He also had three extra-base hits – all doubles – and scored six runs while driving in three. In the midweek non-conference contest against UT Martin, Copeland was 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored, opening the scoring for the Govs with a third-inning double that drove in Imani Willis.

Montgomery Central’s Tyler Britt signs golf scholarship with Bethel University
Britt, who will graduate in May with honors, has played as the number one golfer for the Indians the past four years — including having a team-best 39.5 average per nine holes this past fall, earning second-team all-area honor.
