Clarksville, TN – On Thursday August 13th, 2020 between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm.
Members of the Clarksville Police Department (CPD) will conduct training inside of 200 North Second Street which is a building scheduled for demolition.
The training will include use of explosives which may be heard in the surrounding downtown area.
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, September 5th, 2019, around 8:55pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a shots fired call at a Dandelion Court residence.
When the first officers arrived, there was gunfire heard coming from inside of the garage. There had been a man and woman that had been struck by gunfire located outside of the residence.
The woman was on the porch and the man was in a neighbor’s yard.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have a wanted juvenile Tai Harrell in custody after negotiators were able to end a lengthy standoff without incident.
On Monday, April 1st, 2019, around 7:34pm, Clarksville Police received an anonymous tip that Tai Harrell had just went inside of a South Senseney Circle residence.
There was very detailed information provided which added credibility to the validity of the call.
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 around 7:37pm, Clarksville Police Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call at the 1300 block of Francesca Drive.
When officers arrived they were told by a man that he went to do a welfare check on his neighbor due to some erratic behavior. He said the neighbor, Joseph Dunn, came to the door and told him to leave, displayed a firearm, and then discharged the firearm.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have been holding a perimeter for several hours because of a barricaded suspect at a residence on Big Sky Drive. The CPD Tactical Unit has been deployed.
The situation is contained and there is no known danger to the general public.
Nearby residents have been removed from the area. No additional information is available at the moment. This is an ongoing situation.
Clarksville Police Department & Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office work together to take Suicidal Man into Custody
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, March 1st 2018, around 3:30pm, the 911 Center received a call about a man threatening suicide and reportedly had a gun. When officers arrived the man fled into a field at the end of Huntco Drive. At some point, a firearm was displayed but, the man never pointed it at anyone except himself.
The area surrounding the field was cordoned off by officers and Crisis Negotiators and The Tactical Unit were called out to the scene.
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, July 20th, 2017, around 2:08pm, Clarksville Police received a call about a suicidal man, possibly armed, located in the area of the bridge at Exit 8.
A vehicle was spotted on the westbound exit 8 off ramp which was believed to be the suicidal man. Rossview Road and Exit 8 were shut down to all through traffic since the person was believed to be armed.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports that an eight month long investigation into the distribution of large quantities of illegal narcotics yielded numerous arrests and seizures this week, with more arrests and charges expected.
The investigation was a joint effort involving numerous agencies: Clarksville Police Department, 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Drug Enforcement Administration, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Kentucky State Police.
Clarksville, TN – Both Clarksville Police Department crisis negotiators and a tactical unit were dispatched to a Darlington Drive residence in the Windwood subdivision about 6:00pm Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 in response to a report of an armed suspect.
The domestic assault complaint, which was telephoned to the E911 Center at 5:58pm, reported that a man had allegedly ordered his wife to leave the residence during an argument and fired a single gunshot in the direction of the woman and her sister. Both women left the house.
Clarksville, TN – On March 16th, 2013, around 3:15pm, Clarksville Police responded to a 911 call about a man with a gun on Klines Alley who wanted a gun battle with Police.
Officer Patrick Wyatt was the first officer to arrive and saw an intoxicated 66 year old man sitting on the porch of a West Washington Street (Klines Alley and West Washington Street intersect) residence holding a rifle.
