Clarksville Police Department promotes Eleven Officers

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, July 1st, 2019, the Clarksville Police Department promoted eleven officers in a ceremony held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park. This was one of the largest promotion ceremonies the police department has ever had.

The room was filled with dignitaries, friends, family, and well-wishers as five officers were promoted to Sergeant, three to Lieutenant, two to Captain, and one to Deputy Chief.

Clarksville Police arrest Armed Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Both Clarksville Police Department crisis negotiators and a tactical unit were dispatched to a Darlington Drive residence in the Windwood subdivision about 6:00pm Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 in response to a report of an armed suspect.

The domestic assault complaint, which was telephoned to the E911 Center at 5:58pm, reported that a man had allegedly ordered his wife to leave the residence during an argument and fired a single gunshot in the direction of the woman and her sister. Both women left the house.

Clarksville Police Department holds Retirement and Promotion Ceremony

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Today November 13th, 2015, the Clarksville Police Department hosted a retirement and promotion ceremony.

After Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan’s opening comments, Chief Al Ansley presented Lieutenant Dale Ward with a Certificate of Retirement, Sergeant Daniel Lane with a Promotion Certificate to the rank of Lieutenant, Sergeant Vincent Lewis with a Promotion Certificate to the rank of Lieutenant, and Detective Nicholas Newman with a Promotion Certificate to the rank of Sergeant.

United States Attorney for Middle Tennessee recognizes Two Clarksville Police Officers

F&M Bank on Madison robbed

 

clarksvillepolicelogoOn July 29, 2009 about 2:32 p.m., officers responded to The F&M Bank at 1891 Madison Street in reference to a bank robbery. The suspect entered the bank and demanded money; there was no weapon openly displayed. He took the money (we do not reveal the amount of money) and fled out the front of the building toward the back of the bank. As he was fleeing on foot, he dropped the money bag. There was money recovered, but we will not know if all of it was recovered until a later time. Officers were in the area in approximately 3 minutes, but the suspect was able to evade responding officers. The suspect’s description is: White male, approximately 5ft 3 inches, Khaki work pants, Light brown work boots, and dark long sleeve shirt.
