Govs second football scrimmage to be held on Morgan Brothers Soccer FieldAPSU Men’s Football
However, if interested fans show up at Governors Stadium, they will be watching APSU’s track meet. If they want to find the football scrimmage, they will have to venture out to Morgan Brothers Soccer Field. For the first time since the former Austin Peay football practice field was converted into the home of the Lady Govs soccer team will APSU’s football team scrimmage on grass—APSU has used it for occasional practices in the past. Since rejoining the Ohio Valley Conference the Governors own a 1-2 record against Murray State. The Govs lost in Murray, 27-17, in 2009. Austin Peay enters the contest on a six-game losing streak. The Govs have endured at least a six-game losing streak five times since the new millennium, the longest losing streak (eight games) coming in the 2003 season. Senior running back Terrence Holt made his first career start at running back against UT Martin.
