APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – Three of the Matt Figger era of the Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball officially began Tuesday at the Little Red Barn as the Govs rolled out the racks in preparation for the 2019-20 campaign.

The Terry Taylor Show rolls on, and he’ll be counted on more than ever in 2019-20 after back-to-back All-OVC campaigns to begin his career.

APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team looked like it was in the driver’s seat for a huge Ohio Valley Conference win until Dylan Windler intervened.

The Belmont junior and 2019 OVC Preseason Player of the Year scored 22 of his game-high 33 points in the second half as the Bruins rallied to hand the Govs their first home loss since the 2018 finale, a 96-92 donnybrook between two of the OVC’s best programs.

Hailing from Los Realejos, Spain, Yanes Garcia has established herself as the one of the most dominant tennis players in OVC history.

APSU Basketball falls to Belmont in OVC Tournament semifinals

APSU Men's BasketballEvansville, IN – Monstrous performances from senior Averyl Ugba and freshman Terry Taylor simply could not offset a white-hot shooting performance from Belmont, which brought Austin Peay’s stay in the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament to an end in the semifinals with a 94-79 defeat.

The Govs put the final touches to the OVC slate by proving wrong every doubter. Austin Peay, picked to finish 11th in the preseason coaches poll and dead last by the media, instead turned in an 18-14 record, finishing third in the regular season and making its second appearance in the conference tournament semifinals in the last three seasons.
