Clarksville, TN – The 2015 District 10-AAA Girls Basketball tournament tipped off Thursday night and the #4 West Creek Lady Coyotes (12-12) hosted the #5 Northeast Lady Eagles (12-17). A scoreless second quarter condemned the Lady Eagles and let the hungry Lady Coyotes run away with a 66-40 victory.
The Lady Coyotes did not play like a team that had lost three of their last four regular season games. Instead, they played one of their best games of the season. The Lady Coyotes scored their most points all season. Tyisha Worthy scored a double-double and led eight Lady Coyote scorers, including three with double-digit points.
Adrian Dalton’s Big Fourth Quarter pushes Hunters Lane Lady Warriors to 51-41 win over Northeast Lady Eagles
Clarksville, TN – The Northeast Lady Eagles entered the fourth quarter of their second game in the Rossview Christmas Classic against the Hunters Lane Lady Warriors with a 33-29 lead and a solid chance to win the game based on how they had played so far.
However, they did not see Lady Warrior Adrian Dalton coming. Adrian Dalton scored all of her 16 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Lady Warriors to a 51-41 victory.
Clarksville, TN – The Northwest Lady Vikings lost their second District 10-AAA game at home Friday night. They lost a close game to cross town rivals, the Northeast Lady Eagles, 44-38. The Lady Eagles used excellent ball control and clutch free throws to take the game away late from the Lady Vikings.
Down 36-31, the Lady Eagles put together a 7-0 run to take a 38-36 lead with 3:49 left in the game. Then Lady Eagles’ guard Sepe Moore put on a dribbling clinic, killing more than two minutes off the clock before finally being fouled.
Clarksville High Lady Wildcats open District 10-AAA play by turning back late Northeast Lady Eagles rally
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville High School girls basketball team saw a 13-point, fourth-quarter lead over Northeast High School cut to five, Tuesday, December 2nd at the William Workman Gymnasium, before staving off the Lady Eagles for a 61-51 District 10-AAA victory.
The Lady Wildcats (3-7, 1-0 District 10-AAA) had taken their largest lead of the game, 48-35, just 14 seconds into the fourth quarter on a layup by Ta’Tayana Outlaw, but Northeast scored the next four points – including a three from Jazzmyn Simpson to cut the margin back down to nine points.
Clarksville, TN – Rossview High School’s volleyball team came within a whisker of dropping its first two games versus Northeast High School, October 7th in the quarterfinals of the District 10-AAA tournament, but rallied to earn a spit of those games on their way to a 26-24, 17-25, 25-23, 25-13 victory.
Clarksville, TN – The Kenwood Lady Knights fended off a late rally to win their District 10-AAA tournament quarterfinal match up against the Northeast Lady Eagles, 52-45.
The Lady Knights charged to a solid lead and held it comfortably for three periods. However, nine turnovers in the last period gave the Lady Eagles a chance to rally late in the fourth. The Lady Eagles made three, 3-pointers in the last 89 seconds of the game to get within six points of the Lady Knights. But the lead the Lady Knights had established held for the win.
Clarksville, TN – Down 53-38, the Northeast Lady Eagles made four, 3-pointers on their way to 19 points in the final period. But it was not enough to catch the West Creek Lady Coyotes who earned the District 10-AAA win, 63-57.
The Lady Coyotes hit the court running.
Taking advantage of the Lady Eagles 14 turnovers, the Lady Coyotes outscored the Lady Eagles 34-21 in the first half.
Northeast High Lady Eagles beat Clarksville High 42-34 ending six-year drought against Lady Wildcats
Clarksville, TN – Scoring 10 of the last 12 points of the night, January 17th at the William Workman Gymnasium, the Northeast Lady Eagles posted their first victory over Clarksville High in six years in a 42-34 final.
The District 10-AAA win by Northeast (6-11, 2-5 District 10-AAA) was just one day short of the six year anniversary of their last win over the Lady Wildcats – a 56-50 final coming on January 18th, 2008.
Clarksville, TN – Kenwood High School girls basketball looked like it had everything under control with 2:30 minutes left and up by nine, January 14th in its District 10-AAA contest versus Northeast High School, but they had to hold off the Lady Eagles at the end for a 54-50 victory.
The Lady Knights (7-9, 4-2 District 10-AAA) led 46-37, with 2:23 left in the game, following one of two free throws by Malia Umrani.
But Northeast (5-11, 1-5 District 10-AAA) hit four straight free throws — in a span of just two seconds off the clock – to make it a five-point game, 46-41, with 2:03 left.
