Spend an enjoyable afternoon with Happily Ever After at the Roxy Regional Theatre

 

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN– It was a more excited crowd than usual waiting in the lobby of the Roxy Regional Theatre when I arrived to attend the opening show for their production of Happily Ever After, a play which is based off of the tales of the Brothers Grimm and directed by John McDonald. Young girls and boys along with their parents were on hand to enjoy what was to be a fun and unique show.

One of the things that makes this show unique is in most plays the program follows a fixed set of scenes always in the same exact order; but in Happily Ever After the children set the course of the show.

“Happily Ever After” Enchants with Tales of The Brothers Grimm

 

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – The Roxy Regional Theatre will be premiering  “Happily Ever After” at a 2:00pm matinées on Saturday January 14th.

Happily Ever AfterThe show is unique as children in the audience will have a say in choosing the order of the classic Brothers Grimm stories of “Snow White,” “The Bremen Town Musicians,” “The Hare and The Hedgehog,” “The Elves and The Shoemaker” and “Hansel and Gretel.” The stories have been adapted for the stage by John McDonald and features by Heather Anderson, Josh Bernaski, Travis Kendrick, Ashley Laverty and Brandon Meeks.

“Happily Ever After” plays Saturdays at 2:00pm, January 14th through February 11th. Tickets are $15.00 (adults) and $10.00 (ages 13 and under) and may be purchased online at www.roxyregionaltheatre.org, by phone at 931.645.7699, or at the theatre during regular box office hours (9:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday).

Resolutions for a New Year

 

Happy New Year!

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – We are excited to be back at the Roxy Regional Theatre after a couple of weeks off for the holidays.  The staff has come back rested and some – tanner than others.

We are also excited to welcome back some friendly faces and a few new faces to the acting company this winter as the prepare to present the next several shows in our 29th season.

I asked them, “Are you making any New Year’s resolutions this year?”

Roxy Regional Theatre’s 29th Season Brings Something for Everyone

 

Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – With the musical hit Beehive: The ’60s Musical Sensation bringing down the house nightly through October 15th, the Roxy Regional Theatre, Clarksville, has opened its 29th season of classics, musicals, regional premieres and world premieres.
 
For two nights only, October 21st and 22nd, New York actor Ashton Crosby brings his tour of Mark Twain: Adventures in American Humor back to the Roxy stage.  Then on October 28th and 29th, the infamous Mercury Theatre 1938 radio broadcast will be recreated live on stage with The War of the Worlds.
