FBI says“Too Tall Bandit” responsible for 16 Bank Robberies in a Decade

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationCharlotte, NC – The serial bank robber nicknamed the “Too Tall Bandit” has struck again. FBI Agents and local law enforcement believe the robber is responsible for at least 16 bank robberies in Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The most recent robbery happened on November 27, 2020, at the United Community Bank in Etowah, North Carolina.

FBI Agents are working with state and local partners to determine if this suspect is connected to other robberies. The FBI is asking the public to help identify the suspect and is offering a reward of up to $15,000.

The Govs swept Carson Newman in dramatic fashion, not allowing the Eagles a single set in Saturday’s final match of the Carson Newman Tournament.

APSU Women's VolleyballJefferson City, TN – Austin Peay State University beach volleyball team ended their losing streak in dramatic fashion with two wins at the Carson-Newman Tournament, Friday.

The Govs struggled in the early pairings against Lincoln Memorial University, but were able to find a rhythm in the third pair, carrying that energy to three-straight two-set wins in the final three games as the Governors took the matchup 3-2.

Govs come up just short against Bears to close out Blazer Beach Duals

APSU Women's VolleyballBirmingham, AL – Austin Peay State University beach volleyball put up a strong fight against Central Arkansas and Mercer to close out Blazer Beach Duals, Saturday.

Austin Peay was unable to crack Central Arkansas, but Ginny Gerig and Cecily Gable forced a third set against the Bears number one pairing after they took the second set in dominant fashion, 21-6, before falling 15-10 in the third set.

APSU releases 2018 Beach Volleyball Schedule

APSU Women's VolleyballClarksville, TN –  In just 58 days Austin Peay State University’s beach volleyball program will begin its sophomore campaign, which also will see it inaugurate its new on-campus beach court facility.

The Governors 2018 campaign will begin March 2nd at the New Orleans Invitational, the first date in a five-day road trip to begin the season.
