Rossview High Hawks baseball’s Kevin Kane pitches gem to beat Kenwood Knights 11-1 in 10-AAA tournament

 

Rossview High School HawksClarksville, TN – Spotting his pitches with almost pinpoint accuracy all night long, Rossview High School’s Kevin Kane stymied Kenwood High School’s hitters for five innings, May 2nd, as the Hawks defeated the Knights in the opening round of the District 10-AAA tournament, 11-1.

Kane would only give up two hits, while striking out eight and walking none in his start for the tournament’s second-seeded Hawks (20-11-1) retiring nine straight hitter at one point.

Northeast Eagles Baseball flys past Kenwood Knights, 4-1

 

Northeast High School EaglesClarksville, TN – As the last days of the high school baseball regular season count down, winning games becomes more crucial, especially against conference opponents. As a result, both the Kenwood Knights and the Northeast Eagles felt the pressure in their District 10-AAA face off at Northeast High School Tuesday, April 22nd.

An impressive pitching performance by Evan Frawley helped the Eagles rise to the occasion and defeat the Knights 4-1.

Rossview Hawks take two games from Kenwood Knights Wednesday night in District 10-AAA action

 

Rossview High School HawksClarksville, TN – The Kenwood Knights and the Rossview Hawks faced off in a District 10-AAA doubleheader Wednesday, April 16th. The Rossview Hawks successfully defended their home field twice, sweeping the Knights 4-1 and 11-0.

The Knights struggled to plate runs all night, scoring only one in two games. The lone run came in the first game.

Rossview’s Brett Wilson subdued the Knights for 7 1/3 innings, allowing just one run from five hits. He struck out nine and walked four. He opened the top of the seventh inning with his last two walks before being replaced with Hunter Blake.

Kenwood vs Rossview Middle school baseball game

Clarksville, TN – On Friday, March 18th, 2011, the Kenwood Middle School Varsity Baseball lost their 2nd game of the season to the Rossview Hawks dropping their record to 2-2.

Ivan Purcell takes the loss with Joe Allen coming on in relief in the 4th inning making his Kenwood pitching debut. The Knights struggled at the plate for the first 3 inning of the game going hitless. The Kenwood outfield committed 7 errors during the game giving the Hawks plenty of extra outs. Truman Brown pitched three shutout inning for the Hawks.

Kenwood Middle SchoolClarksville, TN – Friday night Middle School baseball action saw the Kenwood Knights varsity run their record to 2-0 by defeating Northeast 14-3 in five innings. Ivan Purcell was the winning pitcher tossing a complete game. He allowed 2 hits, struck out 6, didn’t allowed any walks or earned runs.

Kenwood Middle Varsity Baseball defeats Trigg County

Kenwood Middle SchoolClarksville, TN – The Kenwood Middle Varsity Baseball team had it’s season opening game on March 4th at Kenwood. They defeated Trigg County 4-3. Ivan Purcell was the winning pitcher, tossing a complete game. He allowed just 2 hits. Zack Lee was a brick wall behind the plate.

Michael Merriweather lead the defense, several double plays were turned during the game. Devonte Maffett and Joe Allen were a terror on the base path stealing 6 bases between them. The whole team stepped up and played well.
