Law enforcement will be out in full force to ensure motorists are following the rules of the road in school zones and along the bus route paths.

Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Unit Takes First Place in Tennessee Law Enforcement Challenge

 

CPD wins award for Agencies with Between 201-500 Sworn Officers Three Years in a Row (2016)

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO), the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police (TACP), and the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association (TSA) have joined forces to strengthen and support traffic enforcement nationwide by providing the Law Enforcement Challenge program, an innovative program designed to stimulate traffic law enforcement activities.

The program targets three major traffic safety priorities: occupant protection, impaired driving, and speeding.

Clarksville Police Department issues Back to School Notice and Warning

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – It is that time of year again when children return to school.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) classes start on Monday, August 8th, 2016 with a half day schedule. The first full day is Wednesday, August 10th, 2016.

The CMCSS, Clarksville Police Department, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office want to remind everyone of the following rules of the road and information to ensure that we have a safe 2016-2017 school year.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools will be back in session starting August 8th. Make sure to plan your travel around school zones.

Clarksville Police Department hosted an Improvised Alcohol Awareness Class for Clarksville Academy Upperclassmen

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Wednesday April 29th, 2015 at 1:00pm, the Clarksville Police Department hosted an Improvised Alcohol Awareness Class for the Junior and Senior classes from Clarksville Academy at their outdoor Sports Complex off of Hwy 48-13.

The purposes of the class was to educate teens on the dangers of impaired driving, educate on DUI laws, and to influence a reduction in the underage consumption of alcohol.

Over 60 Clarksville Academy Students attended the CPD's Improvised Alcohol Awareness Class.

First Federal Bank on Wilma Rudolph Blvd Robbed

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On October 22nd, 2010, around 3:39pm, officers responded to a bank robbery at the First Federal Savings Bank, 2070 Wilma Rudolph Blvd.

When officers arrived they were told a male entered the bank through the doors located on the Wilma Rudolph side of the building, walked up to a teller window, and demanded money; there was no weapon displayed when the man approached the teller window.
