Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) outpatient and specialty services will have modified hours this holiday season.

The hospital remains open 24/7 for emergency services, inpatient care, and labor and delivery services. Please see the charts below for clarification of outpatient services offered over the holidays.

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital physical therapists’ research on knee pain may aid recovery

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, or PFPS, is a treatable condition commonly found in young adults, including service members, who participate in sports and physical activity.

The condition describes pain of the front of the knee and around the knee cap and is commonly referred to as runner’s knee.

“PFPS is a common musculoskeletal disorder among military service members that causes knee pain, quadriceps strength loss, and impaired motor performance in otherwise healthy individuals,” said Dr. Lee Webb, a physical therapist at BACH’s LaPointe Soldier Medical Home.

Research assistant, Kayla Enochs, directs BACH physical therapist Dr. Lee Webb, to raise his leg during a physical therapy session demonstrating exercises performed by Soldiers enrolled in a research study at BACH. Physical therapists at BACH partnered in a research project aimed at finding effective methods to treat service members with patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS), or runner’s knee. (BACH)

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital outpatient schedule for holiday weekend, Baby Expo Friday

 

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH)Fort Campbell, KY – In observance of Memorial Day, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) follow a holiday schedule Monday, May 27th. All outpatient medical homes, specialty clinics and pharmacies will be closed; however, the hospital remains open 24/7 for emergency services, inpatient care and labor and delivery services.

BACH Soldier and Family Centered Medical Homes will operate on Day of No Scheduled Activity Friday, May 24th with the Soldiers’ primary care being offered at LaPointe Soldier Centered Medical Home and Family primary care services offered at Air Assault Family Medical Home within the hospital.

In 1993, National Nurses Week was established and is a time to celebrate and elevate the nursing profession. Each year, the celebration begins on May 6th, ending on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday.

Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital offers Flu Vaccine at walk-in clinic

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) will open a temporary flu vaccine clinic for three weeks where beneficiaries may receive their annual influenza shot.

The temporary clinic will be open October 22nd to November 9th, Monday and Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm and Tuesday from 9:00am to 6:00pm in Building 207 on Bastogne Avenue, next to Bank of America. All TRICARE beneficiaries may stop-by to receive the vaccine without an appointment with no out-of-pocket expense.

Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) to observe 2017 Independence Day holiday

 

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – In honor of the national observance of Independence Day, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) personnel will observe the federal holiday Tuesday, July 4th, 2017.

All clinics and pharmacies will be closed. Hospital staff members will continue to provide acute and emergency medical care 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the Emergency Department, Women’s Health and inpatient services.

The Town Center Pharmacy will be closed for IT upgrades Saturday, July 1st and operate on a DONSA schedule July 3rd, opening from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital to hold Annual Multi-Venue Flu Vaccine Events

 

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s (BACH) patient care teams are slated to begin providing flu vaccines to families within the Patient-Centered Medical Homes the middle of October, offering the vaccine at multiple Fort Campbell locations again this year.

“By offering the influenza vaccine in multiple venues, we hope to make it easily accessible to individuals who do not want to make a doctor’s appointment off post or may just be putting off getting the vaccine. We hope our eligible population takes advantage of this free, but extremely beneficial benefit,” said chief of BACH Preventive Medicine Maj. John Downs.

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – In honor of Christmas and New Year’s Day, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital personnel will observe the federal holidays December 25th and January 1st.

Therefore, all Soldier and Patient-Centered Medical Homes and pharmacies will be closed. The hospital remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for emergency services, inpatient care, and labor and delivery services.

Specialty and surgical services will be closed for a Day of No Scheduled Activities December 24th, Christmas Eve, and December 31st, New Year’s Eve. Patient-Centered Medical Homes will remain open on the DONSA for half a day on Christmas Eve and a full day on New Year’s Eve. «Read the rest of this article»
