Clarksville, TN – Former Austin Peay State University football player Malcolm Goines will represent the red, white and blue of Team USA at the Fifth International Federation of American Football (IFAF) World Championships, a quadrennial event held July 9th-18th, in Canton, Ohio.

Clarksville, TN – A department-record 37 student-athletes earned 4.0 grade-point averages during the Spring 2015 semester, the Austin Peay State University athletics department announced Wednesday.
Those 37 student-athletes were among 159 named to the Spring 2015 Athletics Director’s Honor Roll, representing more than half (52.3 percent) of the department’s student-athletes.
In addition, 83 student-athletes were named to Austin Peay’s dean’s list. The department finished both the spring semester and 2014-15 academic year with a 2.88 GPA.

Macon, GA – Well, at least Mercer isn’t ranked in the Football Championship Subdivision.
After playing back-to-back Top 25 FCS team in the last two weeks in Illinois State and Eastern Kentucky—and three out of the last four weeks—the Governors will play Mercer, 3:00pm CT, Saturday, at Mercer University Stadium.

Normal, IL – Illinois State remained undefeated as it defeated Austin Peay State University, 55-6, Saturday night at Hancock Stadium.
The victory pushed Illinois State to 3-0 on the season while the Govs remain winless at 0-4 and will return to Ohio Valley Conference play next week against Eastern Kentucky.

Clarksville, TN – Coming off its first below-.500 season in five years, Illinois State has opened 2014 with a vengeance.
The Redbirds began the season with a 62-0 win against Mississippi Valley but more impressively they came back the next week to manhandle Eastern Illinois, 34-15. That is the same Eastern Illinois team APSU lost to last weekend in Charleston, 63-7.

Clarksville, TN – Senior outside hitter Jada Stotts, of Austin Peay State University volleyball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Stotts led the Lady Govs with 75 kills in five matches, with the Lady Govs going 3-2 on the week, including a 3-0 upset at Tennessee. She was named to the DISH Lady Vol Classic All-Tournament team after posting 64 kills and a .315 attack percentage and leading Austin Peay to runner-up honors and a 3-1 mark in the tournament.
