UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – UT’s second “We Back Pat” branded game of the week occurs on Thursday night, January 24th as the Tennessee Lady Vols (12-6, 1-5 SEC) steps outside of SEC play to welcome No. 1/1 Notre Dame (18-1, 6-0 ACC) to Thompson-Boling Arena for a nationally-televised contest. Tip-off is slated for 6:02pm CT, with the game being carried by ESPN, the Lady Vol Radio Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

Thursday’s match-up represents the second contest in a grueling three-game week for the Lady Vols.  LSU, which is idle Thursday night, comes to Knoxville on Sunday for the annual “Live Pink, Bleed Orange” breast cancer awareness game at 1:00pm. Interestingly enough, Arkansas also had seven days to prepare for the Lady Vols, meaning both SEC foes this week had extra prep days prior to playing UT.

Tennessee Lady Vols lose close one to Arkansas, 80-79

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Despite an 18-point second-half performance from sophomore point guard Evina Westbrook, the No. RV/17 Tennessee Lady Vols fell to Arkansas, 80-79, at Thompson-Boling Arena on Monday night. Westbrook’s game-winning 3-point attempt came up short, as the Lady Vols fell in their first of two home “We Back Pat” games this week.
 
Westbrook led Tennessee with 24 points and five assists, while freshman guard Zaay Green (17 points and six rebounds) and senior forward Cheridene Green (15 points and 12 rebounds) had productive nights. Cheridene Green dominated the glass and recorded her third double-double of the year on 5-of-9 shooting. Nine Lady Vols scored on the night, with six Tennessee players notching four or more rebounds.

Tip-off is slated for 6:02pm CT, with the game being carried by the SEC Network and the Lady Vol Radio Network.

The match-up with the Razorbacks on Monday will be the first of four straight contests on The Summitt for the Big Orange. No. 1/1 Notre Dame visits on Thursday at 7:00pm. for the second “We Back Pat” game, followed by LSU on Sunday at 1:00pm for the “Live Pink, Bleed Orange” contest and Florida next Thursday at 7:00pm.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 11/11 Tennessee (20-4, 8-3 SEC) is back in the friendly confines of Thompson-Boling Arena for back-to-back home games, beginning with a Sunday matinee vs. No. 18/18 Georgia (21-3, 9-2 SEC) at 2:00pm CT.

The 67th meeting between the Lady Vols and Lady Bulldogs is a key one, with UT currently tied with South Carolina and Texas A&M in third place in the Southeastern Conference standings and UGA sitting in second, one game ahead of the Lady Vols.
 
Tennessee has won three straight and four of its last five recently after dropping three of four vs. a quartet of ranked foes from January 11th to January 21st.

#11 Tennessee Lady Vols defeat Arkansas 90-85

UT Lady VolsFayetteville, AR Rennia Davis recorded a career-high 33 points and 14 rebounds to lead No. 11/11 Tennessee to a 90-85 win over Arkansas on Thursday night at Bud Walton Arena.
 
Davis connected on 13-of-18 shots from the floor, as the Lady Vols (20-4, 8-3 SEC) earned their 20th victory for the 42nd season in a row. Meme Jackson added 21 points with five 3-pointers, while Jaime Nared netted 16 points, including four clutch free throws in the final 10 seconds to put the game away.
 
Devin Cosper scored 29 points for the Razorbacks (6-18, 2-8 SEC), while Malica Monk went 4-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc and finished with 25 points.

Tennessee Lady Vols take care of Arkansas, 59-46

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Led by Mercedes Russell’s 15th double-double of the season, Tennessee took care of business over Arkansas, 59-46, in Thompson-Boling Arena on Sunday.

After a 2:52 scoring drought by UT to start the first quarter, Russell got things going for the Lady Vols (17-10, 8-6 SEC) by scoring the first five points. She finished the day with 13 points and 10 rebounds, passing Candace Parker for the third most double-doubles by a junior in Tennessee history.

Jaime Nared broke out of her recent shooting slump to account for a game-high 19 points behind 3-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc. She added nine rebounds and two steals in the contest despite early foul trouble.

The Lady Vols are in seventh place, and the Commodores stand in 11th in the league standings through Monday night’s games.

After winning a pair of league tilts at home, the Big Orange women enter Thursday night’s contest on the heels of a 76-71 overtime loss at Texas A&M on Sunday.
