Clarksville Junior Golf Tour founding father Dr. Keith Peterson honored with Statue at Swan Lake Golf Course
In a ceremony near the putting green, and preceded by a short address from Clarksville mayor Kim McMillan to a gathering of around 75 friends and family, a bronze statue of a young golfer was unveiled to honor Dr. Peterson, who passed away in May. “It totally blows my mind and it would his too,” said Peterson’s wife of over 43 years Sally. “He fell in love with this statue when he saw it years ago and he always wanted to get one. Montgomery Central’s Tyler Britt signs golf scholarship with Bethel University
Britt, who will graduate in May with honors, has played as the number one golfer for the Indians the past four years — including having a team-best 39.5 average per nine holes this past fall, earning second-team all-area honor. Anthony Bradley named APSU Athlete of the Week
Bradley shared the Ohio Valley Conference Male Golfer of the Week award with Jacksonville State’s Tomasz Anderson after shooting a three-round 215 (72-70-73) to lead the Govs to a third-place finish at the Columbia Regional Preview.
