FBI seeks information on Downtown Nashville Explosion

 

Federal Bureau of Investigation - FBINashville, TN – On Christmas morning, December 25th, 2020, at approximately 5:30am CT, a large explosion occurred on 2nd Avenue North near a Downtown Nashville, Tennessee business. The explosion has been linked to a recreational vehicle (RV).

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); the Metro Nashville Police Department; and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) are currently looking for information concerning the operator or owner of this RV, which arrived in the area at approximately 1:22am CT.

Davidson County Woman Charged with TennCare Fraud

 

Tennessee Department of Finance and AdministrationNashville, TN – A Davidson County woman is charged with TennCare fraud and theft of services for allegedly reporting a false Tennessee residence in order to receive TennCare healthcare insurance benefits.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) in a joint effort with Metro Nashville Police announced that 59-year-old Virginia Watson has been charged with TennCare fraud and theft of services under $10,000, both of which are class D felonies.

Clarksville Police reports Juveniles spotted at Exxon not the Escapees

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) traveled to Clarksville and reviewed the video footage at the Exxon and determined it was NOT, the escapees from Nashville.

They still remain at large, but were not actually in Clarksville.

Two Escaped Teenagers from Nashville spotted in Clarksville

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department reports juvenile suspects that escaped from the Juvenile Detention Center in Downtown Nashville were spotted at Exxon Station, 4015 Trenton Road in Clarksville around 2:42am.

A team of Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) officers is actively searching for four escaped teens, including accused murderers Decorrius Wright, 16, and Morris Marsh, 17, who ran out of the Juvenile Detention Center downtown at approximately 9:44pm Saturday, November 20th.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation charge Douglas Talley in 2001 Paris Murder Case

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationParis, TN – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) Special Agents have obtained indictments in connection to an 18-year-old homicide case.

On June 8th, 2001, the Paris Police Department responded to a home at 322 Rison Street in Paris, where investigators found Etta Etheridge (DOB: 4/6/29) inside unresponsive. Her death was ruled a homicide.

At the request of 24th District Attorney General, over the years that followed, TBI Agents and investigators from the Paris Police Department conducted an extensive joint investigation.

Clarksville Police have Robbery Suspect in Custody

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports that the robbery suspect is in custody. There was an incident that did occur at Exit 11 in the city limits.

However that incident has been turned over to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. All further inquires need to go to Metro Nashville Police Department for the robberies and the TBI for the incident at Exit 11.

Wanted Fugitive Divine Chavious from South Carolina arrested in Nashville

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, and the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (South Carolina) has resulted in the arrest of a fugitive wanted out of South Carolina.

On January 4th, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division contacted TBI about a fugitive from South Carolina who was believed to be in Nashville.

A joint law enforcement effort resulted in the capture of Wanted Fugitive Divine Chavious in Nashville, Monday.

Officer Billotte comes to the Clarksville Police Department as a certified officer with four years of law enforcement experience from Metro Nashville Police Department. Laurie Matta, Director of Finance, administered the oath of office to Officer Billotte.

Clarksville Police Department begins “Park Smart” campaign for Auto Theft Prevention

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department is urging car owners to “Park Smart!” Over 60 percent of the vehicle thefts and burglaries in Clarksville have been to unsecured vehicles or keys were left inside or easily accessible to thieves.

There has been an overall increase of over 100 vehicle burglaries from 2017 to 2018 for the same time frame between January and September.  Guns stolen from vehicle burglaries are up from 64 to 74.
