Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (0-1) host the St. Louis Rams (0-1) this week in their preseason home opener. Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for 7:00pm CDT on Sunday, August 23rd.

This week’s matchup will be televised nationally on FOX, including WZTV FOX 17 in Nashville. Play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt and analyst John Lynch will call the action, while Pam Oliver will report from the sidelines.

Tennessee Titans visit the Atlanta Falcons in a late Afternoon Game

Kickoff at the Georgia Dome (capacity 71,228) is scheduled for 3:15pm CST. The time was changed to 3:15pm from its originally-scheduled time of noon CST.

Currently in second place in the AFC South after last week’s victory at Carolina, the Titans are looking to gain ground on the first-place Houston Texans, who are 7-3 entering their bye this week. Football Govs downed by late Redhawk rally

Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University football team’s opening salvo was not enough to withstand a late push by No. 18/20 Southeast Missouri, as the Govs fell, 41-24, in Ohio Valley Conference action, Saturday night in Governors Stadium.

The Govs scored a pair of first-quarter touchdowns to take a 14-0 lead. Ryan White scored on a 13-yard after the defense forced a SEMO three-and-out. Another stalled Southeast Missouri drive led to a 27-yard score by senior Terrence Holt.

Lone Oak Picnic brings political hopefuls, community together

 

The Civitan ClubFor the over 100 years  the Lone Oak Community in Southern Montgomery County Tennessee have gathered together each year to hear from political hopefuls before the August election.  In addition to the political speeches attendees enjoy delicious barbecue, a beauty contest, and live music. But most importantly of all this is a event that binds the community together. The musical acts featured included the Ward Family and the Yours Truly family singing Gospel music.

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceThe Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2010-2011 Chamber Board of Directors. The Chamber elects new leadership each fiscal year, with the fiscal year running from July 1st, 2010 to June 30th, 2011. The board of directors, executive committee and ex-officio members of the board attend quarterly meetings, provide direction for Chamber staff and volunteers, and manage the finances of The Chamber.
