Clarksville Police release information about Missing Children Incident

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department wanted to send out additional information about the missing children incident from September 5th. Clarksville Police were alerted to two missing children, 10 and 11 years old, from a Cross Ridge Drive residence on September 5th, 2019, around 10:00pm.

They were last seen around 5:30pm inside of the house. Around 7:30pm, when a family member came home, the children were both gone. There were no signs of forced entry or any indication of foul play.

TBI issues Amber Alert for Two Missing Clarksville Children

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationClarksville, TN – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a statewide Amber Alert on behalf of the Clarksville Police Department for 10-year-old Le’Asia De’Nae Thompson and 11-year-old Traveon Devon Thompson Jr.

Le’Asia is a biracial female with brown hair, brown eyes, 4’2″ tall and 55 lbs.

Traveon is a biracial male with brown hair, brown eyes, 4’5″ tall and 75 lbs.

Clarksville Police looking for Two Missing Children

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are searching for two missing children. The children were last seen wearing pajamas at their Cross Ridge Drive residence Thursday, September 5th around 5:30pm, when one of the family members left for work.

Around 7:30pm, after another family member came home, the children were already gone and the pajamas they were wearing were left in the bedroom.

Clarksville Police are asking for the public's help locating Missing Children Traveon Thompson Jr. and Le'Asia Thompson.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation accepting entries for 2013 National Missing Children’s Day Poster Contest

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is calling all 5th graders from across the state to participate in the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) 2013 National Missing Children’s Day poster contest by entering at the state level for a chance to be selected as the national winner and awarded a free trip to Washington D.C.

Fireball Run Adventurally coming to Clarksville this Month

Clarksville, TN – On September 29th, Clarksville, TN will welcome 46 teams to town as part of a 2,500 mile Southeastern race and scavenger hunt that will benefit the local F.U.E.L. program. F.U.E.L. is a non-profit program that helps feed needy children whose only access to food is what they receive at school.

The Fireball Run Adventurally, sponsored by Chevrolet, will begin in Melbourne, FL on September 23rd and eventually reach their final destination in Gulfport, MS on October 1st.

Billboards help in the seach for Tennessee Girl Missing for Ten Years

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has enlisted the help of billboards throughout the Knoxville and Nashville areas in the investigation into the disappearance of Bethany Markowski. Today will mark the 10-year anniversary of her disappearance.  
 
“After 10 years, leads to help further the investigation into Bethany’s disappearance have run thin,” said TBI Director Mark Gwyn.  “We’re hopeful her image on the digital billboards will reignite public interest in the case and spark the attention needed to garner new tips.”

911 Board adds training requirements for missing-children calls

 

Tennessee Department of Commerce and InsuranceNashville, TN – The Tennessee Emergency Communications Board (TECB) voted at its February meeting to add new training requirements for calls related to missing and exploited children for 911 dispatchers. The Board voted to add five hours of training for all new dispatchers and two hours of continuing education every two years – both specifically focused on handling calls about missing or exploited children.

“A call about a missing child is one of the most critical calls that come into a 911 center,” said TECB Chair Randy Porter. “When these calls are taken, the call-taker should have every available resource to handle it correctly. These new training requirements will ensure that dispatchers in Tennessee are properly trained and prepared to handle these calls.” «Read the rest of this article»
