The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.

Dunbar Cave State Park will celebrate National Public Lands Day, a day of service, with an exotic plant removal event, “Blaze the Trails.

Dunbar Cave State Park - Clarksville TNClarksville, TNDunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.

Some of the upcoming events include: Trees, Insects, Recovery Trail Hike, Port Royal Hike and Cleanup, Recovery Trail Hike and Trail Hike and Park Cleanup.

National Public Lands Day Trail Maintenance Work Day at Land Between the Lakes

 

Land Between the Lakes - LBLGolden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area will host a volunteer trail maintenance day to celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 27th, from 9:00am-12:00pm. To sign up, volunteers can call 270.924.2007 or email

Everyone will meet at the North Welcome Station at 9:00am. Volunteers are asked to bring lunch, snacks, and a water bottle. Bug spray, tools, and additional water will be provided by Friends of Land Between The Lakes.

LBL Honors 20th Annual National Public Lands Day

Tennessee State Parks Hosting Free National Trails Day Guided Hikes
