Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University football team totaled 500 yards of offense for the first time since 2006, but came seven points short, 41-34, of completing a comeback against Mercer, Saturday, at Fortera Stadium.
The Governors scored twice in 33 seconds late in the fourth quarter, both cutting the deficit to a touchdown.

Jacksonville, AL – The Austin Peay State University football accomplished a pair of season first against No. 3 Jacksonville State after becoming the first FCS team to rush for over 100 yards and limiting the Gamecocks to under 100 yards through the air in a 34-14 loss Saturday afternoon in Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University head coach Will Healy‘s first APSU football signing class will be a memorable one.
Healy brought in the top-ranked class in the Ohio Valley Conference according to 247sports.com and one of the nation’s top FCS classes, staking his claim to the state of Tennessee in the process—16 of his 26 commitments hailed from the Volunteer State, including McCallie’s JaVaughn Craig and Corey McDonald, who had drawn interest from Healy’s previous school, Chattanooga.
