Shelby Olszewski named APSU Athlete of the WeekAPSU Sports Information
In two must-win games for Austin Peay last week, Olszewski provided the deciding goal in victories against Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville, keeping the Lady Govs in the hunt for an OVC Tournament berth. In the Friday night contest against Eastern Illinois, Olszewski scored the opening goal on a rebound from a Nicole Wojcik shot and later assisted on Sophia Fabbro’s 89th-minute goal in the Lady Govs 3-0 win against the Panthers.

Shelby Olszewski named APSU Athlete of the Week
Olszewski scored in both Lady Gov matches at the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, earning all-tournament honors after leading the sixth-seeded Lady Govs to the semifinals. She finished the season with six goals, the most by a predominantly defense-oriented player in Austin Peay history.

Lady Govs add highly-regarded forward McKenneyAPSU Women’s Basketball
McKenney, a 6-0 forward, helped lead Mallard Creek High School to the North Carolina Class 4A Final Four where they lost to the eventual state champion in the semifinal round.
