Clarksville Parks and Recreation to keep some select City Pools open through Labor Day Weekend

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation will be closing their public pools for the summer season on Sunday, August 5th.  However, Beachaven Pool and Bel-Aire Pool will remain open August 10th through September 3rd on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, as well Monday, September 3rd.  Current summer pool passes will be honored during the extended hours. «Read the rest of this article»

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Summer Youth Program under way and Filling up Quickly

 

Summer Youth ProgramClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Youth Program is under way and openings at the various sites are filling up quickly!

The Crow Community Center, Summit Heights, Minglewood Elementary School, Hazelwood Elementary School, West Creek Elementary School, locations are available for more registration, as well as two of the teen-specific sites at New Providence Middle School and Moore Elementary School.

Tennessee Department of Health says Stay Safe and Healthy in the Water this Summer

 

National Recreational Water Illness & Injury Prevention Week is May 21st-27th, 2012

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – Memorial Day is the traditional opening day of many public pools in Tennessee and the unofficial start of swimming season. While swimming is a fun way to be physically active, recreational water can also hold viruses and bacteria that cause illness.

Select City Pools to remain open through Labor Day Weekend

Tennessee State Parks announce Middle Tennessee Events starting June 11th

 

Tennessee – Make a splash at one of Tennessee State Parks 19 public pools this summer, which are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day – the perfect way to beat the heat!  Not only are our Olympic-sized pools a great summertime treat, they also are a great family value – with a small admission fee for day guests and half-price fees for most cabin, inn or camping guests.
