Knoxville, TN – With a chance to at least claim a share of the SEC Championship, 16th-ranked Tennessee wraps up the regular season against Georgia in Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday. The game tips at 5:00pm CT and will be televised live on SEC Network and streamed online via WatchESPN.

The Volunteers (22-7, 12-5 SEC) can claim a share of the regular-season championship with a win, but if Auburn loses to South Carolina and UT wins, Tennessee would pass the Tigers for the top spot in the SEC and would be the outright champion after being picked to finish 13th in the preseason. The Vols sealed their top-2 finish on Tuesday with a dominating win at Mississippi State behind 24 points from Admiral Schofield. The junior forward is averaging 21.7 ppg and 7.3 rpg during UT’s three-game winning streak.

Ames, IA – For the first time since 1977, No. 22 Tennessee and Iowa State will meet on the hardwood this Saturday at Hilton Coliseum as part of ESPN’s Big 12/SEC Challenge. The game will tip at 3:00pm CT and will be televised live on ESPNU and streamed online via WatchESPN.

In its fifth year, UT holds a 2-1 record when competing in the cross-conference showcase, with both victories coming at home over Kansas State. Last year, the Vols (14-5) downed the Wildcats, 70-58, behind a 17-point performance from Grant Williams.

Tennessee (16-15, 8-10 SEC) heads to the Music City looking to make it five consecutive years with an SEC Tournament victory. Last year, the Vols picked up two wins in Nashville, defeating Auburn in the opening game and Vanderbilt in the second round. UT’s short run came to an end in the quarterfinals with a loss to LSU.

Knoxville, TN – Just three weeks remain until the Tennessee basketball team hosts Pikeville in exhibition action, marking the dawn of the Donnie Tyndall era on Rocky Top. The Volunteers continued preseason preparations Monday, powering through what has become the hardwood norm in Knoxville–a physical, fast-paced, high-intensity practice at Pratt Pavilion.

“We’re making progress. Kids are working hard, and I’ve said that all summer long,” Tyndall said. “Our attitude toward being coached, our receptiveness to being coached, has never been an issue. We certainly have deficiencies in other areas, but guys are competing and giving great effort.”
