Montgomery County Commissioner for District 4 Mark Riggins resigns

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office has received a letter of resignation from District 4 County Commissioner Mark Riggins effective September 30th, 2016.

In the letter, Mr. Riggins sites reaching his decision “after much thought and prayer over the last several weeks” and goes on to state he “is doing so in order to spend more time with my family and serve our Lord and Church family.”  Riggins also adds, “I have thoroughly enjoyed the last six years spent serving Montgomery County and district four and pray daily that the constituents understand the reasons for my decision.”

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Pike Resigns

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Deputy Jason Pike has resigned his position with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office started an internal investigation of Pike on February 26th following his arrest by the Clarksville Police Department for stalking.

Pike, 39, has been an employee of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office since 2008.

APSU Tennis Coach Malik Tabet steps down

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Malik Tabet, Austin Peay State University men and women’s tennis coach for the past three years, has announced his resignation because of “personal reasons.”

Tabet came to Austin Peay after spending five seasons at Indiana State, coaching the women (five seasons) and the men (one). He led the Lady Govs to 2010 Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship and their first NCAA tournament championship. The Lady Govs qualified for the OVC tournament in each of his three seasons as head coach.
