APSU Men's GolfSavannah, GA – Another strong round bumped a young Austin Peay State University men’s golf team into second on the final day of the Invitational at Savannah Harbor, hosted by William & Mary.

Austin Peay’s three-round 857 (286-286-285) was its best during the tenure of head coach Robbie Wilson, making the Govs the lone team in the tournament to post a score under-par in all three rounds.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan joins Mayors delegation in Washington D.C.

 

City leaders urge Senators to seek real solutions

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan was part of a select delegation of U.S Conference of Mayors leaders who visited Washington this week to discuss a way forward on key national topics with local implications, including healthcare, infrastructure and tax reform.

The mayors, representing cities across America, emphasized bipartisanship and stressed to lawmakers that policies emerging from Congress should put people first and hopefully will include consultation with mayors and governors.

Instant Peay Play: Youthful APSU Men’s Golf team opens season looking to make its mark

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s men’s golf team opening its 2017 spring schedule February 20th at The Invitational at Savanah Harbor, in Savannah, GA, with a youthful roster looking to make its mark early-on.

As the Govs head to the first tee box today for third-year head coach Robbie Wilson, the seven-player roster only has one senior (Erik Hedberg/Barcelona, Spain) and one junior (Hunter Tidwell/Alcoa, TN) on the squad.

Currahee MPs teach AUP advanced skills

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionThe CurraheesPaktika Province, Afghanistan – Afghan Uniformed Policemen graduated from an advanced training course at Forward Operating Base Rushmore, Paktika Province, Afghanistan, May 15th.

The Currahee Focused Police District Mentor Program, is a five-week class taught by military police Soldiers from 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Task Force Currahee.

Forty-four Afghan policemen graduated from the course, which was the third CFPDM course conducted since January, bringing the total number of graduates to 143.
