Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) would like to congratulation Corporal Rory Kennedy on his promotion to Sergeant in the Criminal Warrants and Sex Offender Registry Unit.

Sergeant Kennedy began his law enforcement career at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in May 2000 as a jail deputy. He transferred to Patrol in August 2004 and later transferred to Criminal Warrants in September 2006.

Fort Campbell, KY – The 163rd Military Police Company, 716th MP Battalion, 101st Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) conducted its 2019 SWAT Challenge at Fort Campbell, March 15th, 2019.

The SWAT Challenge was a five-part competition that tested the physical, tactical, and technical capabilities of the Fort Campbell Special Reaction Team, Clarksville Police Department Team and Montgomery County Sheriffs Office Tactical Team.

Rory Kennedy (on rifle) and Charles Hunt (on spotting scope) work together March 15 to identify a target during the SWAT Challenge at Fort Campbell, Ky. Kennedy and Hunt are both law enforcement officers with the Montgomery County (Tenn.) Sheriff’s Office. The sniper marksmanship competition was the third of five events in the SWAT Challenge, this tested the physical, tactical and technical capabilities of multiple competing agencies. (Spc. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate three deputies on their recent promotions.

Daniel Brinkmeyer has been promoted to the rank of Corporal in the Patrol Division. He started with the Sheriff’s Office in 2003 as a Patrol Deputy.

He was promoted to a Field Training Officer in 2015.

Clarksville Police arrests Fort Campbell Soldiers for Police Impersonation

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department had at least three occurrences where a vehicle with occupants impersonating Clarksville Police Officers pulled over citizens.

Due to a Field Interview conducted and photos taken by CPD District 3A night shift Patrol Officers on individuals who matched the descriptions of the Police Impersonators, CPD’s Detective Daniel Wimmer was provided with suspects and brought them in for interviews.

Former Montgomery County Workhouse corporal Theodore Morey indicted on drug charges

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOMontgomery County, TN – A former corporal with the Montgomery County Workhouse has been indicted by the grand jury on drug charges and as in custody, to be booked into the Montgomery County Jail today.

Theodore Martin Morey, 35, who gave a Colby Cove address, will be booked on the charge of receipt of a counterfeit controlled substance. His bond will be set at $2,500.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals serve Woman with indictment for Rape of a Child and Facilitation of a Felony

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentMontgomery County Sheriff's DepartmentClarksville, TN – On March 13th, 2012, a sealed indictment was served by the U.S. Marshals and Montgomery Sheriff’s Office on Lesley Ann Rye for Four Counts of Child Rape and Two Counts of Facilitation of a Felony.

The investigation has been ongoing for over a year and was initiated as a result of a DCS referral. The case involved two children under the age of 13.

Couple Charged with False Report and Arson

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – A husband and wife have been charged with false report and arson after claiming their car had been set on fire after an alleged carjacking.

On September 9th, 2011, around 11:00pm, officers were heavily involved in directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic from Riverfest. While in the midst of keeping traffic flowing, officers had to respond to an alleged carjacking which occurred in the area of 668 North Riverside Drive an area with some of some of the heaviest traffic and pedestrian congestion.
