Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals serve Woman with indictment for Rape of a Child and Facilitation of a Felony

Clarksville Police DepartmentMontgomery County Sheriff's DepartmentClarksville, TN – On March 13th, 2012, a sealed indictment was served by the U.S. Marshals and Montgomery Sheriff’s Office on Lesley Ann Rye for Four Counts of Child Rape and Two Counts of Facilitation of a Felony.

The investigation has been ongoing for over a year and was initiated as a result of a DCS referral. The case involved two children under the age of 13.

The investigation by Detective Larry Boren revealed that Rye engaged in sexual activities with the children on multiple occasions. It was also discovered that Rye was aware the children had been victims of sexual abuse by another person but did nothing to prevent or stop it.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released.
