Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office raises money for charities during No Shave November, December

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) raised $13,850.00 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and four local charities with No Shave in November and December.

Deputies were able to participate by making a $40.00 donation to St. Jude in November and a $40.00 donation to a local charity in December.

In November deputies raised $9,420 for St. Jude. In December deputies raised $1,180 each for Soldier and Families Embraced (S.A.F.E) and FuelKids; $1,060 for Urban Ministries Safe House; and $1,010 for Manna Café Ministries.

Clarksville Police Department to take part in Tennessee Highway Safety Office’s Safe Campaign

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is partnering with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) for its fifth annual Seatbelts Are For Everyone (S.A.F.E.) campaign.

This statewide initiative is designed to increase seatbelt usage and child passenger safety restraint usage through the implementation of occupant-protection programs, public events, and checkpoints throughout local communities across Tennessee.

Local Golf Tournament raises money for Charity

 

GolfClarksville, TN – Wayne Pace and Cecil Morgan have come together for the 17th year to play a little golf and to raise money for a couple of worthy causes.

Morgan’s Tennessee team will be donating to S.A.F.E. (Soldiers and Families Embraced), and Pace’s Georgia team will be donating to a charity that is helping with hurricane recovery in the Houston area.

Clarksville Police Department takes First Place in the Tennessee Law Enforcement Challenge

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Governor’s Highway Safety Office (GHSO), the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police (TACP), and the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association (TSA) have joined forces to strengthen and support traffic enforcement nationwide by providing the Law Enforcement Challenge program, an innovative program designed to stimulate traffic law enforcement activities.

The program targets three major traffic safety priorities: occupant protection, impaired driving, and speeding.

Fort Campbell War Garden ProjectSoldiers And Families Embraced - S.A.F.E. - SAFEFort Campbell, KY – During The Home Depot Foundation’s 3nd annual Celebration of Service campaign that runs from September 11th to Veterans Day, The Home Depot associates are completing projects to transform the homes and lives of veterans across the country.

During these two months, their associates will complete more than 350 service projects to benefit veterans and their families.
