Fort Campbell to host first Armed Forces Women’s Softball Championship

 

101st Airborne Division - Fort Campbell, KYFort Campbell, KY – The team has come back for a new season after sitting 2020 out because of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. The coaching staff is confident the combination of talent they’ve seen in this round of tryouts so far is exactly what they need to bring home the gold.

Fort Campbell also has been given the honor of hosting the Armed Forces Women’s Softball Championship. It is a first, said Lt. Col. Angela Diebal-Lee, the team’s physical trainer and director of the Department of Rehabilitation Services, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH).

Clarksville AcademyClarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy’s middle school softball team wins it all in the TIAA tournament. In CA’s Cinderella story, these girls traded their glass slippers for cleats and hard work. This was no ordinary team or season.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to reopen many Facilities, June 1st

 

City of Clarksville, Montgomery County enter Next Phase of Plans to bring back Fun and Games

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Many, but not all, Clarksville Parks and Recreation and Montgomery County Parks facilities and amenities will reopen Monday, June 1st, 2020 as the community enters the next phase of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reopening process.

Rental facilities, such as park pavilions, Wilma Rudolph Event Center, and Freedom Point will begin taking reservations. Each facility will have its own guidelines for maximum capacity, and social distancing will be required during events that use these facilities.

Midsouth Softball Association registration for 2018 Spring Season going on now

 

USA SoftballClarksville, TN – The Midsouth Softball Association is now accepting online registration for the 2018 Spring season. Registration is $70.00 for 1 child and $60.00 for siblings.

Online registration will run from January 15th – February 15th. Games are played at Swan Lake Sports Complex.

Clarksville hosted Weekend Sporting Events Bring 8,300 people, $3.2 Million to Local Economy

 

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Visit Clarksville welcomed two major events this weekend that, combined, pumped over $3.2 million into the local economy.

The Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) Track & Field State Championships brought some 2,520 visitors, including 600 athletes, who competed at Austin Peay State University’s Fortera Stadium for top medals in discus throw, high jump, long jump, shot put along with multiple track events.

Well, the same thing could be said of fast pitch softball players too and that helps adds to just how impressive Danielle Liermann, Kacy Acree, Carly Mattson and Kendall Vedder’s first two seasons have been for the Austin Peay softball team.

Mid South Softball AssociationClarksville, TN – MSSA-CGSA Fast Pitch Softball online registration is going on now. The deadline for online registration is February 23rd, 2017.

The registration fee is $70.00 per child, $3.00 online registration fee, multi-child discount $55.00 for each child after the first. You can register online at www.midsouthsa.com

MSSA-CGSA is the only girls fastpitch league in Clarksville without boundaries. Girls from the ages of 5 to 23 from Clarksville and its surrounding counties come to have fun and learn the game of softball using ASA rules.
