Clarksville, TN – A former Jail Corporal with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has been taken into custody following an indictment from the February Grand Jury.
Brett Badgett, 36, has been charged with two counts of statutory rape and two counts of rape. Bond set at $75,000.
The indictment stems from a complaint received by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on January 20th, 2021 of an incident that occurred in July 2012.

On August 1st, 2012, and at the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Special Agents began investigating a sex trafficking case involving a minor female victim.

Mr. Dechoudens Espinal has a history with the Clarksville Police Department and has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on three different occasions.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation yesterday arrested a Smith County man after an investigation into allegations of sexual activity with a minor was requested by the District Attorney General.
Jerry Ryan Lewis, 21, of Elmwood, TN was indicted by the Smith County grand jury on two counts of statutory rape for engaging in sexual activity with a minor child between April and September 2011 in Carthage, TN. He was arrested last night and booked into the Smith County Jail on $2,000 bond.

Clarksville, TN – On October 16th, 2012, Clarksville Police were alerted to a possible sexual encounter between a 14 year old girl and a 20 year old man.
The 14 year olds mother discovered her daughter was receiving explicit text messages from a man asking her if she would have sex with him. They had met on a social networking site.
Study shows very slight decrease in domestic violence over three year time period
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today released a study that analyzed the state’s domestic violence crime data as reported by law enforcement agencies through the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System (TIBRS) program in an effort to gain more insight into the problem of domestic violence within Tennessee.
The report analyzes offense data flagged as domestic related from 2009 through 2011.
Clarksville, TN – On December 12th, 2011, around 4:00am, Police were called to investigate an allegation of statutory rape.
Detective Alan Morgan’s investigation uncovered that on December 11th, 2011, an 18 year old male was inside of a Clarksville residence in the company of a female juvenile that he knew who was at least four years younger than him. They started to kiss and then the interaction escalated to a more intimate sexual interaction.
Clarksville, TN – On October 13th, 2010, around 10:26pm, officers responded to the Pembroke Place Subdivision about a complaint of an unwanted guest. The complainant told officers that she discovered a 20 year old male, identified as Christopher Davis, hiding in her granddaughter’s closet.
She said that her granddaughter is only 14 years old and had several hickies on her neck. Officers were told that Davis had ridden a bicycle from Nashville to the residence and possibly stayed there overnight. The grandmother detained Davis until Police arrived.
Clarksville, TN – On June 15th, 2009, an investigation was opened by Detective Demone Chestnut based on a DCS referral. Based on his investigation, he was able to determine that Jonathan Tyler Giles, formerly involved as a Pastor Youth Minister at Spring Creek Baptist Church, was alleged to have had sexual contact with a 16 year old female youth ministry member on more than one occasion.
Giles had also asked the juvenile to engage in sexual intercourse. Additionally, He sent inappropriate text messages before and after the church services to the 16 year old.
