Downtown Artists Co-op’s 1st Annual T-Shirt Design Contest and Exhibition

 

Clarksville Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC)Clarksville, TN – Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC) is excited to announce something different this July! This summer of 2016, DAC is celebrating the humble, but always popular, T-Shirt.

We asked area artists to design the front of our new T-Shirt; the goal was celebrating the creative life and representing the ever-growing Clarksville arts scene and our diverse, talented local artists.

In addition this month, DAC will have all new works from our members on our “retail side” (to the left). This fun, summertime opening reception will be on Thursday, July 7th from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Sounds start season with Eight-Game Homestand

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club begins its 2016 season tomorrow, Thursday, April 7th when they welcome the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Opening Day.

Thursday’s 6:35pm game is the start of a season-opening eight-game homestand at First Tennessee Park. Following the four-game series with the Dodgers, the Sounds welcome the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, for a four-game series scheduled for April 11th-14th.

Fleece Blanket Giveaway, Christmas in July & Two Firework Shows To Take Place During Eight-Game Homestand

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds open the gates to First Tennessee Park for an eight-game homestand against the New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A Seattle Marlins) and Iowa Cubs (Triple-A Chicago Cubs) beginning Friday, July 24th.

The Sounds are welcoming fans to the park with a pair of Fox 17 Friday Night Firework shows, Christmas in July, Autograph Day, Boy Scout Night and a fleece blanket giveaway.

Independence Day Fireworks, Stars and Stripes Jersey Auction & Faith Night Included During Eight Games

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds return to First Tennessee Park on Friday, June 26th with a full slate of promotions for fans of all ages.

While the Sounds face off against the Oklahoma City Dodgers (Triple-A Los Angeles Dodgers) and Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A Milwaukee Brewers), the homestand will include two firework shows, a pair of t-shirt giveaways, the second Faith Night of the season and a special Independence Day jersey auction.

Fort Campbell Youth Triathlon and Eaglets Run – August 17th

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – You enjoyed the first one so much that Aquatics has scheduled another Youth Triathlon for August 17th. The event will begin at Gardner Indoor Pool, located at 2191 Tennessee Avenue.

Check in will be at 8:00am and the event will begin at 9:00am with the swimming portion at Gardner Pool. Ages 6 to 18 are invited to participate in the Youth Triathlon and ages 4 and 5 are invited to participate in the Eaglets Run which will begin at 8:45am. «Read the rest of this article»

Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center Fundraiser for Brady Conatser a Success

 

Brady ConatserClarksville, TN – There was a rundraising event for Brady Conatser held at the Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center Saturday, January 28th. Those that came out were able to bowl from 9:00am to 11:00am for only $7.00. Everyone had a really good time and helped raise money for Brady’s rehabilitation.

“I just wanted to thank everyone for coming out this morning and supporting Brady.” said Tiffany Perry, Conatser’s cousin and organizer of the event.
