Crosby, a 2001 graduate of Battle Ground Academy, is no stranger to private school athletics.

Clarksville, TN – For the fourth consecutive semester, more than half of Austin Peay State University’s athletes received academic recognition following the recently concluded spring semester.
The department saw 180 athletes named to the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll, each earning a minimum 3.0 grade-point average during the semester. That amounted to more than 53 percent of the department’s near-record 335 athletes earning academic recognition from the department.
It is the fourth consecutive semester the department has seen more than 50 percent of its athletes post a 3.0 or better GPA.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Athletic Department had 13 former and current student athletics participate in the schools December 9th Winter Commencement ceremonies, held in the Dunn Center.
The 13 Govs that picked up their degrees were spread out over seven teams; with football leading the way with five, followed by baseball (3) and volleyball, women’s soccer, women’s tennis and women’s golf all having one graduate.

Brentwood, TN – Twenty-one Austin Peay State University student-athletes were among the record 245 Ohio Valley Conference athletes to earn OVC Medal of Honor accolades for the 2015-16 academic year.
For the fourth year in a row, every Academic Medal of Honor recipient posted a 4.0 grade-point average. The record shattered the previous high of 212, set during the 2012-13 academic year. Over the past five years, 1,025 student-athletes have earned an OVC Academic Medal of Honor.
The OVC Academic Medal of Honor recognizes those student-athletes that achieve the highest grade-point in their respective OVC-sponsored sport for the entire academic year, were eligible and used a season of competition while participating in their chosen NCAA-sponsored sport.
Brentwood, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) student-athletes accounted for 103 of a record 1,335 student-athletes named to the 2015-16 Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, announced Wednesday by the conference office.
“Academic success is part of our department’s responsibility and a mission for our student-athletes,” said Austin Peay athletics director Ryan Ivey. “Similar to a successful on-field performance, what you do in the classroom comes down to how hard you’re willing to work; the sacrifice and dedication these student-athletes put in to have success on and off the field is second to none.”

Clarksville, TN – Over half of Austin Peay State University’s student-athletes received academic recognition following the recently concluded spring semester with the department announcing its student-athletes posted a 2.91 grade-point average.
The department saw 170 student-athletes named to the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll, each earning a minimum 3.0 GPA during the semester. The athletics department saw 84 student-athletes named to Austin Peay’s Dean’s List and 34 of those were recognized on the President’s list, each posting an unblemished 4.0 GPA.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s football team will open its first spring practice under new head coach Will Healy, March 21st, with what hopes to be the next step in getting the program out of the second division of the Ohio Valley Conference.
Over the next 34 days, culminating with the Red and White Game on April 23rd, Healy and his staff will have a lot of their plate.

Clarksville, TN – It was a milestone semester in the classroom for Austin Peay State University’s athletics department as its 328 student-athletes combined for a record 3.022 grade-point average during the Fall 2015 Semester.
The department saw a record 202 student-athletes named to the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll with at least a 3.0 GPA during the semester. In addition, a record 113 student-athletes were named to the Austin Peay Dean’s List with at least a 3.5 GPA. It is the first time in department history more than 200 student-athletes were named to the AD’s honor roll and more than 100 student-athletes received Dean’s List recognition.

Clarksville, TN – For Austin Peay State University football team, Saturday’s visit to Eastern Kentucky doesn’t just herald the beginning of Ohio Valley Conference play, although the 5:00pm (CT) contest will be the first OVC game on APSU’s 2015 slate.
It also signals something of a reprieve for Austin Peay after back-to-back contests against FBS schools, although in facing the Colonels, ranked 21st in the latest FCS Coaches poll and 18th by the media, the Governors see a foe interested not only in maintaining its ranking but improving its postseason chances and mounting a challenge to prohibitive OVC favorite Jacksonville State.

Clarksville, TN – After opening up the regular season at home for the first time since 2010, Austin Peay State University will step away from Governors Stadium for the first time this season when the Govs journey south to the Gulf Coast for a match-up with FBS foe Southern Miss, 2:30pm, Saturday, from M.M. Roberts Stadium.
The contest will be aired on the American Sports Network, locally on WUXP (MyTV30).
