APSU Men's BasketballTampa, FL – In a physical, back-and-forth affair that saw both squads grab the upper hand on numerous occasions, Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team unfortunately came out on the short end of a 74-70 decision against USF at the Yuengling Center, Monday.

Austin Peay (1-2) fought through myriad foul troubles and the limitation of two key members of the roster for much of the contest due to injury yet still pushed American Athletic Conference foe USF (2-0) to an extra session, on the road no less.

The still-youthful roster got a valuable learning experience in the 95-67 loss, but showed their mettle against one of the SEC’s darkhorses.

APSU Men’s Basketball to participate in 2018 Jersey Mike’s Jamaica Classic

APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball will compete in the 2018 Jersey Mike’s Jamaica Classic and Governor fans can join them in Montego Bay for the three-day event.

In its second year, the annual pre-season college basketball tournament will be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica from November 16th-18th, 2018, in one of the most iconic destinations in the Caribbean.

Austin Peay State University Men’s Basketball releases schedule for 2018-19

APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – After a first season which featured a third-place turnaround and Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year honors, Austin Peay State University head men’s basketball coach Matt Figger has announced the 2018-19 schedule for the Govs.

The 13-game non-conference schedule will feature two in-season tournaments and the longest stretch of road games in program history—a 30-day, seven-game, four-state, two-country jaunt from November 9th-December 8th.

UT Vols Basketball gets rolled 84-58 at South Carolina Gamecocks

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsColumbia, SC Behind an offensive showcase and dominant night in the paint, South Carolina avoided a regular season sweep, defeating Tennessee 84-58 Wednesday night at Colonial Life Arena.

South Carolina’s 42-14 advantage in the paint gave the Gamecocks (23-5, 10-5 SEC) their most conference wins since 2009, while Tennessee (13-15, 6-9 SEC) continued its struggles away from home.

Devon Baulkman paced the Vols with 19 points, going 7-of-15 from the field and 5-of-10 from the 3-point line. His seven made field goals tied a career high. Shembari Phillips scored 16, while Armani Moore added 10. South Carolina’s Duane Notice led the Gamecocks in scoring with 17 points.
