Oklahoma City, OK – Eugenio Velez extended his hitting streak to 17 games and drove in a pair of runs to help lead the Nashville Sounds to a 6-1 victory over the Oklahoma City RedHawks on Wednesday evening at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Right-hander Alfredo Figaro (1-0) earned his first Triple-A win of the year for Nashville by allowing one run in his five innings of work, scattering four hits and inducing three double plays during his 73-pitch effort.

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds dropped both games of their doubleheader Friday night at Greer Stadium against the visiting Oklahoma City RedHawks by the scores of 5-1 and 6-3.
In the opener, Oklahoma City edged the Sounds , 5-1, in extras, plating four runs in the ninth inning.
With the loss, Nashville (28-53) fell to 1-4 in extra-inning play this season.
Jimmy Nelson turned in another strong outing for Nashville but took a no-decision for his work after allowing one run on five hits over 5 1/3 innings of work.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds dropped a 10-6 slugfest to visiting New Orleans Zephyrs on Monday evening at Greer Stadium. The loss was the Sounds’ seventh in the last eight games.
Nashville (21-36) gave up a season-high four Zephyrs homers in the loss, including two from catcher Clint Sammons.
New Orleans starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc (3-4) allowed two runs on six hits while fanning six in seven innings for the victory. The left-hander also doubled in and scored a run from the dish.

Nashville (21-35) stranded 11 batters on the afternoon and went 3-for-16 with runners in scoring position.
Right fielder Jordan Brown went 2-for-5 for his third straight multi-hit game. Center fielder Logan Schafer, who entered the game as a defensive replacement, added two hits in two at-bats.
Green Homers For Nashville As Season-Opening Skid Hits Three
Metairie, LA – The Nashville Sounds suffered their third straight loss on Saturday evening at Zephyr Field, falling 4-2 to New Orleans in the third game of a four-game series.
Nashville has out-hit New Orleans in each of the three games this series but has failed to record a victory. The Sounds registered five hits to the Zephyrs’ four in Saturday’s contest.
Metairie, LA – The Nashville Sounds lost 2-1 to the New Orleans Zephyrs in a wild extra-inning affair on Friday night at Zephyr Field. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the twelfth inning, New Orleans first baseman Ben Lasater scored the controversial game-winning run on a throwing error by Sounds catcher Martin Maldonado.
The Zephyrs previously loaded the bases with one out on reliever Jim Henderson. Third baseman Matt Dominguez would then hit a grounder to second baseman Eric Farris, who threw home to get the force and begin the double play. After Maldonado stepped on the plate, the backstop airmailed a throw past first baseman Sean Halton down the right field line to end the game.
