Montgomery County, TN – Red Knight Distribution, the operations center for Furniture Connection and Furniture 123 in Clarksville, is the latest company to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.
Prior to their recent green ribbon cutting, Red Knight Team Member Ashleigh Sympson explained that owner David Berggren saw the benefits in constructing an energy efficient building and said the building was made to be efficient.

Clarksville-Area Chamber of Commerce hosted Fourth annual Home and Garden Show
Clarksville, TN – On February 23rd and 24th, the Clarksville-Area Chamber of Commerce held their fourth annual Home and Garden show at the Foy Fitness Center on Austin Peay State University.
The show was sponsored by the Clarksville-Area Chamber of Commerce, the Leaf Chronicle, and Furniture Connection. 57 Vendors were on hand to offer Clarksvillians tips on getting ready for the rapidly approaching spring.

City votes on Clarksville’s Best for the March of Dimes

Clarksville, TN – The Best of Clarksville fundraiser for the March of Dimes is eagerly awaited each year by both businesses and area residents. The fundraiser this year featured 140 businesses in 65 categories; each one looking to score the votes of area residents to be declared The Best of Clarksville. The event consists of local vendor booths, silent auctions, dance performances, free give-a-ways, and a fireworks show by Allen’s Fireworks. All of the money raised is donated to the March of Dimes.
Matthews Nissan Suzuki was the presenting sponsor. Other sponsors included Five Star Radio, Sango Village Florist, US Bank, Cumberland Bank and Trust, FedEx, Allen’s Fireworks, Ad One Advertising, WJZM 1400 AM, and The Leaf-Chronicle.

Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Home, Lawn, And Farm Show showcased area businesses

The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce held their first annual Home, Lawn, and Farm Show this weekend and over 50 local businesses participated. The businesses ranged from Wofford’s Nursery to area banks. Hutson Inc was the Marquee sponsor, they manufacture and market many of the products that you use to keep your home, lawn, and farm in tip top shape. Several thousand Clarksvillians attended the two day show which was held at the Austin Peay State University‘s Red Barn.
The floor was well laid out and intermixed large well-known businesses with smaller ones. Prizes were given out to attendees ranging from a Mature Tree Planting by Wofford’s Nursery valued at $4,000, to two 42 inch LCD HD TVs by Anchor Mortgage.

The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce is giving you a head start with their 1st Annual Home, Lawn & Farm Show, which is being held this weekend (February 27-28) from 10am-8pm Saturday, and Sunday from 12-8pm at Austin Peay State University‘s Red Barn at 256 Marion Street. General admission is $5, and children 12 & under are free.

Salvation Army Shelter plans Open House at new Kraft Street campus

The Clarksville Salvation Army will celebrate the completion of its new Emergency Shelter on Kraft Street with an Open House on Sunday, February 22, from 1-4 p.m., with a special program at 1:30 p.m.
