AFTB First Sergeant Spouse Course

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Many would agree with Military.com’s assessment of a First Sergeant when we say there is neither substitute nor any question of the importance of a First Sergeant (1SG). The First Sergeant is the provider, the disciplinarian, the wise counselor, the tough and unbending foe, the confidant, the sounding board, everything that needed in a leader.

Spouses’ of First Sergeants’ play an essential part of the Army Family as they at many times take on similar roles as their Soldier to assist other Family Members and parts of the community. Army Family Team Building (AFTB) is offering a special two day course for Spouses’ of soon to be First Sergeants’ or current First Sergeants’ on May 16th and 17th.

Course will be held at the Family Resource Center (FRC) from 9:00am to 3:00pm. This is a great opportunity to be provided with the information and skills you will need to take on the role of an informed, involved, productive, and proactive member of the Command Team.

There is no cost to attend the course and child care is also provided by Army Community Service (ACS) at no cost. Registration for child care is required by May 9th. All children must be registered with Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) prior to registering for the AFTB First Sergeant Spouse Course.

For more information or to register for the course or child care, please call 270-798-4800.
