Austin Peay State University’s ROTC program celebrates 40 years

Bontrager, commander of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, KY, and an alumnus of APSU, was the keynote speaker at the APSU ROTC program’s 40th anniversary ceremony December 1st in the Memorial Health gymnasium.

He graduated from APSU in 1987 as an ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate (he was in the top 20 percent of cadets nationwide graduating that year) with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
