Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for February 18th through February 22nd, 2015
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults. Some of the upcoming events include: River bottom Trail at Port Royal, Short Loop Trail Hike, Port Royal History Walk, Winter Woods Walk, Volunteer Day – Tree Planting, and Dunbar’s History. Wednesday, February 18thRiver bottom Trail at Port Royal Time: 11:00am – 12:00pm Walk through the winter woods on this ½ mile hike. Meet at River Bottom Trail parking lot. Reservations by: 4:30pm February 16th. Short Loop Trail Hike Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm Enjoy a walk through the woods as the day ends. Reservations by: 4:30pm February 16th. Thursday, February 19thPort Royal History Walk Time: 9:00am – 10:30am Join us for a walk around Port Royal Historic Area. Meet at the upper parking lot (beside the Masonic Lodge). Reservations by: 4:30pm February 17th. Winter Weeds Time: 10:30am – 11:30am We might not have wildflowers, but we can learn about the remnants of last year’s flowers. Reservations by: 4:30pm February 17th. Friday, February 20thWinter Woods Walk Time:4:00pm – 5:30pm Enjoy a walk through the woods as you learn about the plants and animals of winter. Reservations by: 4:30pm February 18th. Saturday, February 21stVolunteer Day – Tree Planting We will be planting trees on the new property – please come out and help. Details to be announced. Dunbar Cave State Park Programs InformationPrograms are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled. All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed. Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children). Age limits are definite – please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given. Dunbar Cave State Park is located at 401 Old Dunbar Cave Road, Clarksville Tennessee. Port Royal State Historic Park is located at 3300 Old Clarksville Springfield Road, Adams, Tennessee.
