Evansville, IN – Today’s Austin Peay State University baseball game at Evansville has been halted in the second inning due to heavy rain at Braun Stadium.
Austin Peay led 2-0 in the bottom of the second with Evansville at the plate and a runner on first base.
The Govs and Purple Aces will follow that contest with a seven-inning game.
Meanwhile, in Ohio Valley Conference action Austin Peay retains hope of qualifying for the OVC Championship. The Govs will at least be watching the result of the Tennessee Tech-Eastern Kentucky contest – a Tennessee Tech loss will allow the Govs into the championship.
