This weeks highlights include: Park and Facility Rentals, Queen City Road Race T-shirt contest for kids and Winter Gym. Queen City Road Race T-shirt contest for kidsCalling all budding artists in grades 1st through 5th: Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Queen City Road Race T-shirt design contest is back and the best drawing will be featured on the official 2016 event t-shirt! First place: $100.00 for you, an official Queen City Road Race T-shirt featuring your design, framed poster of your drawing, $100.00 and a Subway party for your art class, art supplies and certificate. Second place: $50.00 for you, Subway party for your art class, art supplies and certificate. Third place: $25.00 for you, Subway party for your art class, art supplies and certificate. The Queen City Road Race, sponsored by Cumberland Bank and Trust, will take place Saturday, May 7th beginning at 8:00am. The event will include a 5K, 10K, and One Mile Movement. Winter GymWinter Gym Provides Community with Recreational Basketball Free Play The gymnasium is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm through March 18th, 2016. Program is open to all ages, although participants ages 13 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Admission is free, and you can register on-site! Park and Facility RentalsWhether you are planning parties, picnics, reunions, weddings or any other occasion, keep in mind a Clarksville Parks and Recreation facility for your next event. For availability and fee information for park facilities, call 931.645.7476. The Indoor Aquatic Center, 166 Cunningham Lane, is also available for private rentals.
