Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library is excited to announce that patrons can now send print jobs from personal desktop computers and handheld devices for printing at the library.
The library is also introducing mobile hotspots for patrons to check out using their library card.
Patrons can now send print jobs to the library from their laptop or desktop computer, from a tablet or smart phone, or through email.
Instructions on how to print from home can be found on the library’s website, www.mcgtn.org/library, under services.
To print from a tablet or smartphone, patrons must download the PrinterOn app from their devices “store” for apps.
All print jobs can be found at the print station on the second floor near the information desk. Patrons must pick up print jobs within two hours or they can resend. Color prints are $1.00 a page, and black and white documents are $0.15 a page. No library card is required for this service.
In addition to mobile printing, the library is offering nine Sprint mobile hotspots to patrons with a library card. Library card holders who check out mobile hotspots will be able to access unlimited, high-speed Internet service anywhere a Sprint signal can be received. Patrons can connect up to 5 devices at one time, including desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.
This service is perfect for those who have no Internet access at home, are going on vacation, or taking their business on the road. Hotspots can be checked out for three weeks.
