Nashville falls to Round Rock Walk-Off, 4-3

Nashville SoundsRound Rock, TX – Jurickson Profar’s walk-off base hit gave the Round Rock Dance Halls a 4-3 win over the Nashville Honky Tonks at Dell Diamond on Friday night. The 10th inning base hit gave Round Rock a big advantage in the two-game #BattleForTheBoot series between the two American Southern Division rivals.

Profar’s game-winner came off Honky Tonks reliever Aaron Kurcz with one out in the inning. Kurcz struck out A.J. Jimenez to start the inning, but then issued a costly walk to Elio Castillo.

APSU Baseball errors proves costly in loss to SIU Edwardsville

APSU BaseballClarksville, TN – An early five-run deficit proved too much to overcome as Austin Peay State University’s baseball team dropped a 7-4 decision to SIU Edwardsville in Ohio Valley Conference action, Friday night at Raymond C. Hand Park.

Austin Peay (20-23, 11-13 OVC) got off to a shaky start, particularly on defense as it committed six errors in the first five innings.

Clarksville Parks & Recreation along with Friends of Fort Defiance to host Annual March to the Past this Saturday

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN –  On Saturday, May 6th, 2017 the Clarksville Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Fort Defiance will hold the annual March to the Past living history event from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center, 120 Duncan Street.

Nashville Sounds return home for Eight Games, Saturday

 

Faith and Family Night, Bark in the Park, Mother’s Day Celebration Highlight Nine-Day Stretch

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club returns to First Tennessee Park tomorrow to begin a nine-day, eight-game homestand against a pair of Pacific Conference opponents.

The Sounds welcome the defending PCL Champion El Paso Chihuahuas – Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres – for a four-game series from May 6th-9th. After a team off day on Wednesday, May 10th, the Albuquerque Isotopes – Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies – are in town for a four-game set from May 11th-14th.

Clarksville Police reports Accidental Discharge of Handgun Injuries 3 Year old Female and 27 Year Old Man

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, May 5th, 2017 around 3:05pm, Clarksville Police responded to a shooting in progress call in the 200 block of Caldwell Lane.

When officers arrived they found a 3 year old female with a gunshot injury to her left thigh and a 27 year old man with a gunshot injury to the ankle area.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Explorers Post 600 will be hosting a donation only car wash Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at First Advantage Bank at 1929 Madison Street from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Money raised from the car wash will go towards the Explorers Program.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The 39th Annual Queen City Road Race, scheduled for Saturday, May 6th, is quickly approaching and there is still time to register in person or online.

Online registration can be completed at www.cityofclarksville.com/parksrec and is available until noon on Friday, May 5th. Participants registering in person may come by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Office, 102 Public Square, through Friday, May 6th or register onsite at Austin Peay’s Foy Center the morning of Saturday, May 6th.

Clarksville Travel Ball hosts H&S Farms Strawberry Slam this weekend

 

Clarksville Travel BallClarksville, TN – On Saturday and Sunday, May 28th and 29th, USSSA baseball presents the H&S Farms Strawberry Slam Tournament. Teams from Tennessee and Kentucky will be playing on Saturday and Sunday at Heritage Park.

The Pool play schedule for the H&S Farms Strawberry Slam is posted on the USSSA website.

“The primary focus of USSSA is the development of programs that allow for teams of all skill levels to compete against one another.  Clarksville Travel Ball’s vision is to provide an opportunity for local players to participate in tournament atmospheres,” stated Brian Walker, USSSA area director.

Clarksville Police are looking for a Vehicle stolen from Best Motors

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report that on April 15th, 2017, Best Motors had two vehicles stolen from their lot. One vehicle was recovered and an arrest was made.

The other vehicle, a 1985 Nissan 300z, Blue, has not been recovered. There wasn’t a tag on the vehicle when it was stolen.

The attached images are not the actual vehicle, but downloaded photos.

Clarksville Police are trying to locate a 1985 Nissan 300z, Blue, that looks similar to the cars in this photo. Anyone with information can contact Detective Christy Bing, 931.648.0656, ext 5133.
