Austin Peay vs. Evansville

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team is set for a weekend matchup with Evansville 1:00pm, Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 in the Dunn Center.
The Govs are on a five-game winning streak for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
Austin Peay is shooting 46.3 percent from the field and averaging 71.7 points per game.
Five Governors have scored in double-digits in the last two games as the Govs look for their sixth-straight win for the first time since 2005-06 season.
The Governors are coming off a commanding win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff where they raced out to a 15-point lead and scored 97 points on 55.0 percent shooting.
Freshman Brianah Ferby led the way scoring 17 points and pulling down three rebounds in 17 minutes on the floor.
Keisha Gregory scored 15 points and racked up a team-high five rebounds in her fourth-straight game scoring in double-digits.
Brandi Ferby scored 10 points off the bench and grabbed three steals in her 20 minutes of play.
The Govs are facing an experienced Evansville squad with a backcourt trio currently shooting 44.2 percent from the field and combining for 41.2 points of the 66.0 average points per game for the Purple Aces.
Evansville is coming off a quick turnaround after a 92-54 loss to Western Kentucky November 30th.

Austin Peay faced Evansville last December and dropped the close contest 72-68 in Evansville.
Five Governors scored in double figures against UAPB: Brianah Ferby (17), Keisha Gregory (15), Kelen Kenol (12), Brianne Alexander (12) and Brandi Ferby (10).
