The Govs are on a five-game winning streak for the first time since the 2010-11 season. ![]() Austin Peay Women’s Basketball put five game win streak on the line Saturday when it plays Evansville at the Dunn Center at 1:00pm. (APSU Sports Information) Austin Peay is shooting 46.3 percent from the field and averaging 71.7 points per game. Five Governors have scored in double-digits in the last two games as the Govs look for their sixth-straight win for the first time since 2005-06 season. The Governors are coming off a commanding win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff where they raced out to a 15-point lead and scored 97 points on 55.0 percent shooting.
Keisha Gregory scored 15 points and racked up a team-high five rebounds in her fourth-straight game scoring in double-digits. Brianne Alexander took control down low scoring 12-points, while Kelen Kenol scored a career-high 12-points and recorded four rebounds.
The Govs are facing an experienced Evansville squad with a backcourt trio currently shooting 44.2 percent from the field and combining for 41.2 points of the 66.0 average points per game for the Purple Aces. Evansville is coming off a quick turnaround after a 92-54 loss to Western Kentucky November 30th.
